Liberty City is about to get a little more fabulous -- Rockstar Games has announced The Ballad of Gay Tony, the second episode for Grand Theft Auto 4.

"Liberty City is the most vibrant game world we've created yet. The episodic structure has allowed us to interweave stories, gameplay and atmosphere in a whole new way," said Rockstar founder Sam Houser.

"The team at Rockstar North have yet again surpassed themselves, and made something that is both epic and very innovative. This episode's focus on high-end night life contrasts with the biker gangs portrayed in The Lost and Damned, whilst giving us a lot of new gameplay possibilities."

The Ballad of Gay Tony stars Luis Lopez, a "part-time hoodlum" and "full-time assistant to legendary nightclub impresario Tony Prince," better known as "Gay Tony." As usual, he'll have to juggle competing loyalties while also trying to determine who is "real and who is fake in a world in which everyone has a price."

The latest GTA4 episode will be available on the Xbox 360 this fall for 1600 Microsoft Points ($19.99). In addition, the episode will be available on retail disc titled Episodes from Liberty City, which will also include the first episode Lost and Damned. Episodes from Liberty City will retail for $39.99, and will not require the original game to play.

Very tempting. I'm more of a Saint's Row guy than a GTA guy, but I like the concept. I'm also glad to see it's getting a retail release instead of being locked into DLC mode.

I'm also more of a Saints Row II type of gamer. I love the customization and liberty around Stillwater. GTAIV had some great gameplay...but I hated that you were stuck practically wearing the same shit all the time...your character wasn't customizable...and I know it fits the 'story'...but Saints Row II still had a story and you could be ANYBODY.

Hmm.. I need to catch up with these GTA4 expansions. =)
I only played and beat the original game.

The Lost and Damned doesn't take long to beat. It's worth $20 in the same way your typical short-but-good retail game is worth $60.

Saints Row 2 FTW! I played GTA4 and didn't even get past the whole meeting Manny mission thing because it was boring as sin. In Saints Row 2 I got to drive a septic truck with my friend in coop mode and squirt crap all over the city. GTA blows unless it's in the multiplayer mode. That's the only way I will even touch that game.

OMG the most awesome trailer in GTA history was released recently and it belongs to GTA: The Ballad of Gay Tony. It's very well done, the cutscenes, the slowmo, the music and they sold it. It got me SOOOO hyped for this game, it's unbelievable!

Gay Tony rocks! You guys be the judges.

Man I love that advertisement <3 the music is so catchy and the game looks like it might be more akin to older GTAs which were just fun, not as serious as GTA IV. I <3 silly GTA more than Serious. Why Saints Row is a pretty fun game too.

I loved that song when it was released and still do. Want this game just based off this advert lmao.
