Shouldn't be surprising. The person most likely to object is long dead and neither Grohl nor Novoselic ever had any real say in what happened to the music anyway, since "Scentless Apprentice" was pretty much the only co-written song in the band's catalogue. Courtney Love inherited the music rights and sold a large chunk of them off to a corporate interest a while back.

I've only messed around with GH1/2 at EB and bestbuy; this is the first time I actually bought the game. It's so awsome! I became so emerged and played for hours yesterday, practicing to get the hang of it.
I played "cherry pie" on hard after some practice, and damn it felt so rewarding!

Keytar doesn't kick ass. Europe doesn't kick ass. Final Countdown doesn't kick ass. If you want a kick ass song play Hangar 18 by Megadeth. Although there are better songs by Megadeth.
Cherry Pie is an insult to hard rock/metal. It was made by a hair band, and hair bands make me want to go emo.

True the song in general is easy, but having to stretch with first finger to something that is like 7 (or 8 can't remember) frets away just starts to hurt after awhile. I like the song it's a good song, but playing it can be a pain because of that stretch.

The song was fun to play. I love hairmetal music and tons of other music of the 80s. With the large variety or songs in the game and future songs coming out, I doubt anyone will not hate some of the songs available. I happen to hate the police, but I didn't quote people and tell them they're awful. But since you brought up megadeth, I happen to dislike listening to them. Maybe if they had a singer like bruce in iron maiden they may sound better and less screaming-like.
Also what's the deal with getting 5 stars? Sometimes I'll hit 96%of the notes and not get it; other times I may get 5 stars for 96% notes hit.

I have you beat, im not good enough to play on hard so im on medium and i hit 91% on a song last night and i thought it was good enough to grab 4 stars easy. i used star power plenty and had a nice score, but what happend..... s.o.b. game gave me 3 stars -.- its a pain in the ass how the star system works.

The star system is weird sometimes. I was helping my friend get his coop achievements yesterday and we did a song on Easy just to get the 100% achievement for coop (which we got easily) and even with a 100% full combo we got 4 stars. Owned.

They played that over the PA at my school for one trimester lol. (Our school plays music the last 30 secs before the bell rings during passing time to help kids who can't manage to walk from class to class).

Star requirements in co-op are all set numbers, and they don't change regardless of difficulty. If you do a good job you can 5 star pretty much everything on Medium-Medium, and if you're both playing on expert it's relatively easy to 5-star it all.
Anyway, just played this yesterday... the controller felt weird compared to the PS2 one (buttons are smaller, so it's easier to stretch) but I like it. Plus it looks better D: And new songs =

Screaming like? Where did you get screaming like from Megadeth? Did you confuse Dave Mustaine with old James Hatfield? Hair metal isn't really metal because they're the ones that started monster ballads. That is right "metal" bands going soft and letting women effecting their musical judgment of what is good music. Must I point out Damned Yankees? They killed Ted Nugent! Europe is an ok band but Final Countdown has been voted one of the worst songs to happen to metal. I agree with that too because keytar never should have been invented let alone used after it's creation. Stupid emo keyboardists. If they wanted spot light they shouldn't have joined bands as keyboardists that weren't really ska bands.
