throwing in my two cents here. Just reading this fourm for the first time.. and here comes some more nerd biology! (Gawd I loved my major)

Breast formation only occured when we as a species, being the human race, began having sex from the front ^^; Notice how boobs are suppost to look like a bottom? Same theory. Males were and still are attracted to a woman's behind quarters, so evolution had us form breasts. (huzzah) Woot to evolution >_>; Take any other animal of the female sex in any species and notice they have no breasts and the formation only forms usually after giving birth for milk production? Animals also tend to do the dirty from behind ;)

I've also read both sides, Baj, my hat off to you, great post, gave me a lot to think about. I am a 20 year old woman, I have no children so I can not speak from Kat's prospective although I empathize with her stance. I may not like looking at asian women with their jigglies hanging out but at the same time I guess society has forced me to turn the other cheek. Being in my Issues in Education class we have covered several aspects of this thought process, how society reflects how we are suppost to react to situations or attempt to be conservative. As my opinion I would like not too see boobs while reading.... but Majorhavoc's hot guy pics... maybe ;) jk jk

I also have a lot of confidence in myself so I do not feel pulled down or threatened at looking at young women even if they are half nekkid. I am happy with myself and I think all women should feel the same pride.

I remember hearing in one of the recent topics about how people only get pissed if it applies to them. If this is true, and considering how often you whine about my sig, guess I better go sharpen my machete.
 
Well, how would you feel if you were a woman and see that guys post half naked pics of women because they find it... "funny" or "hot"? I mean, Raivyn didn't put that woman in his pic to show respect to the woman beauty, he just did it because he found it "hot", or is there another good reason? Yes, you can put whatever image you want only if its not porno or racist, but you don't see that girls get offended because they notice people see women as a piece of meat (with sigs like those)? I wouldn't mind half nude pics or anything... as long as they're artistic. You're just not showing respect to the female body. Why do you have to come with sigs like those anyways? To get attention from people? or is there another good reason? Honestly, I didn't like that sig, but you're free to put what you want in your sig, except porn and so, so I didn't say anything, but hey, people praising at you because of the "hot boobs", that was stupid. Just try to be in our shoes... and you'll have a different perspective.

And those that want to see more "hot boobs", go buy a sex toy and play with it instead. ^^ They're pieces of plastic, so you can pleasure yourself without worrying about their feelings.

Actualy, My comment is directed toward Jender, in a few posts back (just read almost everything on here, might have missed a few posts, so forgive me if I'm just reiderating something that was already said).

Basicly, What your saying is that it's ok when you comment on yourself in a demeaning mannor, because it's about yourself right? So my question to you is, how does that not apply to anything else? To me, and forgive me if i'm wrong, but it somewhat sounds like your trying to exempting yourself of the responsiblity that the comments, regardless if it's about you, cause.

I'm sure you've thought about this, but let me discribe my argument in case others are wondering about my stand point.

My point on this matter is... even if your degrading just yourself, children (monkey see monkey do~ look at leet speak -_- ) will generalize other girls the same as your portraying yourself. Is that right? no, as that falls under a sterio type.

Also, something else. Since your stating that it's ok for your comment to stay on there, because it's only degrading yourself, that it's ok to have a suggestive photograph/gif of yourself?

Now, I know this sounds rude, but... What if you were an 8 year old girl? and making those remarks/pictures? I'm not saying you are 8, but just the same. Wouldn't that be disgusting to the rest of us that knew your age? Or even someone else?

Don't get me wrong, I agree with the pornograpy and such not being on this site, and as for .gif's I think that's ehh... But comments can be just as bad, as a picture. the phrase "A picture is worth a thousand words" is true, but you can say only a few words to get to the same point across. You can use 5 words to get across the opening of a prono. "I want to F--- You". Even saying that, even in retrospect is wrong. Why? because it's typed, and posted. Able to be viewed by all the youth around the world. But like it's been said before, you can google the word "sex" and find anything you want to look at.

This all falls under a freedom of speach ACT. Censorship and all the above. If people want to post nude pics, or what not? Good for them. It's the 'viewers' right to ignore it. (not saying i'm going to be posting any :P ) If you don't want to view it? why the hell are you staring at it? Why complain? there are several ways to stop it. Why browse at work? School? Etc? It's your choice to view it. The content is their.

So why am I even bringing this up? Hmmm good point. Mainly because you said it was 'ok' for you to do this since it was about yourself. And like I said, earlier your right. but don't go telling others that they can only post 'one way' because it's not about them. I'm sure I could live a bit longer not seeing some of the people here >.>

Just to clarify; Freedom of Speach, or any other constitutional rights do not apply here. QCDN is a privately owned operation and thus not subject to those limitations.

I see what you are saying, and agree in a sense.

I guess what I was trying to say was that - attaching an elusive, out of text comment from a friend on my sig that had sexual undertones....I just do not see that as the same thing as having a bobbing 1/2 nude girl staring me in the face.

In MY opinion (which can be given or taken - I honetly don't claim to always be right about everything) Sexy talk, that doesn't demean (other) women is a little more tasteful than a pic that clearly does. (I believe sabia explained why the pic was tasteless in a more eloquent way a few pages back) Does that make any sense?

I fell that I have been portrayed as someone spewing "do as I say, not as I do" when in reality, I do not consider both things the same. If everyone else does, than I apologize...however my mind isn't swayed - I can definitely see how those who haven't considered it from my perspective could think otherwise.

*I also never mentioned children viewing the site in any of my posts. I only mentioned the objectifying of women, which I do not think that my sig displays. THAT was what I meant by "I am being demeaned, not others" - I honestly DO NOT feel that I was being demeaned, Al is a friend and I thought it was a cute comment. ;) I find creative sexual banter humorous...but don't come out and blantanly spew such things at anyone....outside of the privacy of my home <3 :)

All in all, I was just giving an opinion or a smutty pic. I would have let it go way earlier had I not heard "cry cry cry waaah waah waah But JENDER IS WORSE THAN MEEEE cry cry cry" it just seemed like a couple of girls didn't like it - and I was an easy target to point the finger of blame at when a kid got all defensive. If I had offended anyone w. my sig, I probably would have just apologized and let it go...but that;s just me. Being a grown-up is sometimes nice. :)

It's not that your signature is 'worse' - it's that you show that you obviously don't mind sexual content, especially in humorous form.

I'm just confused as to how you can be ok with sexual innuendo but not ok with a dan... you know what. Fuck it.

If you think that sig was so horrible and objecitfying - guess what; it's not. Maybe if I attached the words "one hot ass bitch" to it. Appreciation is different than objectification. Artful this, not obvious that. I'm surprised you can even stand to look at a victoria secret catalogue - I mean, its absolutely DISGUSTING that women are portrayed as SEXY. Coming from a person who posts pictures of herself in bodices and has a sexual comment accompanying her every post in her signature this is just bullshit.
 
I think women in the VC catalog are sexy - I think it is the non-bobbing aspect that attracts me to them....
