Half naked women in avatars/signatures

As Eili said, it was her opinion. As everyone else has a different opinion/threshold as to what they find offensive, whether it is morally or socially. There really isn't a point in arguing about it. I don't get offended by much although, I find pictures of dead animals offensive... I remember there was a bunch of them being posted some time ago.

I didn't mind Raivyn's sig, nor would I mind sipping fluid from Jen's ummm... mug.
 
Okay, Eilistrae obviously doesn't like her boobies so I'll have to confiscate them by rubbing them for hours on end. Tell me where to meet you.
 
I'm just glad Major's stopped playing with Photoshop and his bookmarks.

Besides, now that we all know the sig-chick's name, I'm sure most of the guys here have already downloaded all her fantastic titty-bearing photo shoots.

and while I know a lot of other women think Raivyn's sig was objectifying women then they don't really do any research on it. Sure it was a bit crude but I didn't care. I just ignored it. Not like I've never seen breasts before :| His sig DID have the name of the actor in it as I remember. That person, by becoming a model, has agreed to sign over the right to be able to portray herself and be the only one to do so. She made herself public by choosing that career path. It was her choice and hers alone and because someone likes here and posts a picture (or gif of her) isn't a big deal, in my opinion. Just as long as it isn't against the forum rules, I don't care.

Oh.. and about my own daughter going to be a model.. there are two reasons I'd give. 1) My love and I failed as parents or 2) it's something she really loves to do and it makes her happy. It's not wrong for her to be able to do so.. as in.. it's not against the law or anything. It's her right to do so. While I might wish her to have another career I'm not gonna get angry at her. The only thing I would beg her to do is have tasteful pictures. Nothing too...provocative.

Now.. while I think women should go to something other than modelling as a career they have that right as do men. Men models are around too and shown just as much. Just because no one, other than Blackmagik :P, posts their pictures on the site doesn't mean they don't exist. I think it's a little odd that some people arguing would have no problem with the male models but complain about the female models. Those models did sign away the right to control their picture distribution when becoming one.

Anyways.. I think I'm going in circle a bit, but I don't find his sig too objectifying to women no more than a male model is objectifying to men. While some might not like seeing them they can easily avoid them or have their children avoid them. Again, if a parent is letting their young child freely roam the internet without checking up on what they are doing (HELLO? HISTORY ANYONE?) then maybe they should blame themselves.

Posting pictures of dead animals I find to be more offensive and disgusting. To find amusment in an innocent animal's death makes you a sick individual. Excalibur, you lost a lot of my respect by posting that image.

To be honest Raivyn, all the constant comments about your sig did get annoying. Although to be fair thats not exactly your fault.

Meh i think you might be going a little to hard on him, at least his sig was semi-tasteful. In other forums you find plenty of stuff that is much worse than Raivens sig, and i have come to expect such when reading forums.

And btw DAMN this thread is going fast...it was 3 pages further ahead by the time i finished reading the one i was on.
 
Yeah it gained popularity among the male populous really fast. Got a few LOLs, then became page long posts which gave even me lag, and that was pretty silly.

I can of course only speak for myself, mastrubation is the silent killer of the night! Having said that, it takes more than some half-naked girl for me to even consider mastrubation. You mentioned some ad-girl with a "fuck me" look giving 9/10 hetero men a hardon, I don't know about that, perhaps I am getting laid too often, but I can look at a pretty woman without to instantly fantasize about humping her (which is good, because I do work with some attractive females and it would make my day quite hard (no phun intended) if I couldn't).

Was a bit of an exaggeration yes - my point was that the sig was far less suggestive than many ads of that ilk.

With the sig you can choose to be turned on, or just say "That's a fine lookin woman," and go about your day. What's wrong with a sight for sore eyes? But I digress, I have no problem with removing it, whatever the reason. I'm just befuddled as hell when someone who obviously buys into a very sexualized lifestyle comes in to criticize. That's like campaigning for animal rights, then going home and clubbing a baby seal.

I'm AMAZED that noone in here is saying that god created titties and that they should be displayed. I agree with roughly half of that.(the better half)

If dave chappelle likes his titties out...then by goddamn let them be out.
 
The Road to Wellville very nice movie, even though it got a poor rating on IMDB. I think those who rated it poorly were people who either expected a soft-core porn, or a hilarious comedy, of which it is neither. It's a comedy that has some sexual references and subtle humor (which is too taxing for the average American movie audience).
