Halo 3 pre sales = Fastest in gaming history. And thats some MAJOR promotions going!

Okay, Pepsi products were on super sale today when I got groceries so I got a 12 pack of "Game Fuel". I don't know if they still make it anymore, but they used to make this stuff like "lik-m-aid" or something like that. Basically flavored sugar that you dipped an edible stick into to eat it. It tastes like that.

I've been looking around (not really, just googled some stuff) and i can't find out what the differece between the Halo packs are. Why is the legendary pack like $130?

Normal edition- nothing special just the game

Heroic edition- special case, bonus discs, probly dvd's with video docs and such.

Legendary- Even more special case, Bonus discs including gamer pics and themes, and a replica mjolnir spartan helmet.

Redbull is liquid pixie sticks as it leaves your mouth with the same sensation.

I find it kinda sad that they NEED this much advertisement and hype to sell the game. How much advertisement goes into the average final fantasy games vs how many copies are sold? I don't think it's helping to sell more copies at all, when anyone who wants to play halo, or even considers playing halo, knows about halo 3 already and won't be swayed by a pretty burger king cup. Seriously, I'm against any kind of mass marketing that isn't at least mildly entertaining. For example, the Simpsons movie advertising was spectacular with the "Kwik-e-marts" made out of 7-11s and all that jazz. That got people who don't think about the show anymore reminiscing about when they did watch it. Stuff like this pathetic drive for attention for Halo just seems to me to be like the only child screaming for attention he's already getting.

I think you're pretty confused. It's not to sell the game, but rather companies paying Microsoft/Bungie to use Halo images to sell their products. It's not drumming up hype, but rather jumping on the bandwagon.

I tried the game fuel today and omfg it's like fucking crack it kinda tastes like a cherry slushy.

Its ok, Game Fuel is alot like orange soda, nothing too out there taste-wise.

Bumpage. Just had some game fuel at work yesterday, and i have to say i was disappointed. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't really good either just kinda in between. No where near the greatness of original Mountain Dew.

As soon as I tried it I loved it. Same for my friends. Actually, in the past 2-3 days, it's all I've been drinking. I can get 2 bottles (the 20 oz.) for like 87 cents cuz my friend works at the grocery store out here. I've bought 5 bottles from gas stations in less than 2 days. Its amazing...anyone know when production might stop? I'm guessing it'll continue throughout September...
