Lookin pretty BA so far. I picked up ODST the other day just so I'd have the invite to the Beta in May. The graphics are looking pretty solid and so is the gameplay. Here is a quick vid of some stuff from the multiplayer beta:

Ever since CoD:MW2 when I pretty much just straight up dropped Halo 3 I havent really been all that into halo (as you can see from me just now getting/playing ODST) but I am looking forward to this. Hopefully they will get the gameplay down as well as the added stuff like jet packs and hand to hand combat will be cool and not shitty.

Never been excited to play a Halo game, ever, for the multiplayer. This time, I'm pretty excited. I'm sick of "let's be real life" multiplayer shooting. There is that and it also looked sick. Jet Packs in Red Guerrilla were grizz, so they shouldn't be any less fun in Halo. Bring on the demo hammer too I say D:

omg i cant believe i had not seen this yet. It looks stunning, i did not expect that much of a change! and THEY BROUGHT BACK HEADHUNTER!!!! WOOO!!!!

OMG!!! must have game.. nice upgrades, i really will enjoying reach for a long time

I know it may seem weak to some... All they need to do for me to make this game last forever is change the lvl system. Just about every mp game now has a kind lvl system where you just continue to progress even through bad games. Halo is not and never was friendly in this area... Work as hard as you want to hit 50, then lose one game and go back to 48. I forces me to play scared and eventually never touch that game type where i have a 50 again. I am hoping for a change there as i would love to play this for a while.

I like Halo, but not much will pull me away from BFBC2. It's a shame that a lot of people don't play that series because of the bigger names (halo, CoD). If people would just try it, and learn it, they would probably never leave.

People don't like games that don't give it to them easy. Stinger missile? Lock-on is for pussies, guide it YOURSELF. Killstreaks? No need, but here is a UAV/tank/helicopter/HUMV DO IT YOURSELF.

I gotta say though, I played BFBC plum up to November (MW2) and never had a single problem finding a game or playin' all night. I think we get most all of the normal people and after the first few weeks the MLG hacks go back to the games they feel they are good at but would get stomped on by the majority of us at. I think we'll get more people this time around though. BFBC was no where near CoD 4 when it came out, you had to work for everything, even your health. It took a lot more bullets to kill and a heap more skill to be good at. This time around it is more attuned in enough smaller aspects to make it like CoD that it'll be popular, but still skillful enough to make it BF.

Beta out today, dling now...

Played it last night, so fun. Can't wait for sept. Although being able to hide in a corner and go invisible can get irritating.

Looks like Halo meets Tribes. Is it?

Look at them, expect it, and gtfout of dodge. Armor Lock = free kill if 1v1 and it evens the odds if you're 2v1. All of that especially if you're rollin' with a Jet Pack or Sprint.

I still don't much care for it. With all of the changes I figured it'd be a different game, but it's not, it's still the same damn game. It's still more fun than MW2 or BFBC2 though, if even for just being that my beloved pistol is back. I'm not gonna be goin' out to get a copy of ODST for any more beta time, but I'll give it the same treatment I've given all Halo games in the past.

Tribes? No. Bungie just added Jet Packs, not much to see here really.

Looks to me like the flying shit is going to be annoying, I'll probably end up sticking to modern warfare. But I'll give it a try when it comes out, havn't been much of a halo man since 2.

its more like halo meets shadowrun. It still feels exactly the same to me tho.
But then again, this is only a small percentage of what will be in the final game. Armor lock tho, not a free kill, i beast mode with that. I hit my lock and pop out for the kill, i very rarely die without taking one person with me once im out of lock. Jet packs are annoying, but extremely easy to deal with, i miss the BR, but the shot gun is finally freakin accurate and not host dependent!

Really looking forward to this, was playing some Halo about a week ago. I SUCKED serious butt seeing as I haven't played it for almost a year but got back into the swing of things fast enough. I hope I'm not too left behind to actually be half decent in these games, although with a bit more play I could see me being alright again.

Just like CoD, give it a day or two and you'll be MLG legit.

Mine just arrived at my office... now I have to wait to go home to play it >.< 45 minutes to go.
