Yes, it is funny. I'm comical because I spazzed out about this; and Moch is comical because he's stupid and didn't read his own question, thus giving a huge sum of money to someone that doesn't deserve it. Sculli's comical because he's sticking up for his right to win, even though he has absolutely no grounds to do so. Sabia's comical because she gets 1mil for absolutely nothing.
 
Ok...hopefully this perspective will help you understand why you're wrong Thnikkaman.

The question - which suspect was able to tell the officer the color of the hat on his head and why?

Meaning - Not only which suspect was able to correctly inform the officer as to the color of his own hat, but why was he able to?

Further meaning - What methods of deduction did the suspect use to determine which color his own hat was? (Think of it this way, if YOU were in his position, how would YOU explain how he came up with his answer)

Considering you numbered from the left you did a good job explaining why until...

Your answer - The man in front is wearing a black hat.
number two can confidently shout out that the hat he is wearing is white.

*Red Flag* If suspect #3 (#2 for you) can't tell the difference between the colors white and black he has no hope whatsoever of correctly telling the officer which color he is wearing. Thus, using your logic, the prisoner confidently shouts the wrong color...

But then again, maybe he can simply explain to the officer "I got the hats mixed up. GTFO already."

You got the prisoner correct, but when asked to explain why, your logic doesn't add up to the correct answer.

But in the event Sculli did win, and let's assume he did, he could've taken his mil, bought 100 thousand insect wings and dropped them on the ground in sarutabaruta. It's his gil. He can give it to Sabia, give it to Vang or Odon (now you want "rich", there you go), or give it to gilsellers. It's his gil. Considering Sabia is also a good friend of mine, I can't say I'm displeased in the slightest at her new good fortune. If you ever need a hand making gil, I'd be happy to farm with you or whatever, but let's not take your agression on the wrong people here. On a side note: Congrats Sabia! I know you can put it to good use. You're gonna be one (even more) kick-ass summoner.

Why are you focusing on one line when the entire post contains much of the riddle, not just that one line, where he still mentions color..?

Yes, he does mention the word "colour" like 3 times in the riddle. The word even comes up in the question he asks. However, it doesn't ask what colour it was. Can't you people read it? The officer asks the suspects what colour it was, not the person doing the riddle.

Pompidiou, I wouldn't pay like 1/3'rd a HQ staff. I'd turn it into 50mil, then give the 1mil to Sabia, then pay Moch back. But no, he has to give it to Sabia, who wasn't even here. I got it right before Sculli did. End of story.

He did ask why. I think the reasoning they are presenting is this:

To know the why, you'd have to know the color of the hat. The why is definately in the question. So the color of the hat is tied into the answer by this factor, perhaps?
 
I don't need someone to give me 1 mil gil to be comical, I'm comical everytime I get 1 shotted by a mob, and I"m comical in the fact I took a smn to level 71 on a steady diet of beehive chips! SABIA 4TW!

Not bothering to read the flame aspect of this thread. But I'd say the answer is the middle guy in the right cell knows what color hat is on his head.

Why? Because the middle guy knows he can't have the same color hat as the left guy, because if he did, the guy on the right would know his hat's color by elimination.
 
For the record, I have never known Sabia to have more than 200k on her. Shes a very good person, but rich, she is not.
 
Alright, this is ridiculous....

Someone is trying to one be good and give a good Christmas present... CHRISTMAS present to someone who answers his question right. HIS question. HIS money. He can give it to whomever he feels like it. He could say, I'm going to give it the first person who's not an asshat who posts on the thread. Or, I'm going to give it to someone who I like who posts on this thread.

This is how I see your bloody situation:
1. You complain because you were to stupid to do your own damn research and lost money on gardening...it's all over the web...its no longer a secret anymore.... don't need level 5 classification you know...
2. You get an answer mostly right which a lot of people have conceeded but it's not ENTIRELY right which is what the OP wanted. IF you put 32 instead of 33 on the lottery ticket, you aren't going to win the lottery...and you go cry to the bloody gaming board about it.
3. It's a gift! And now you're trying to force the person to give a gift! Ya, you might ahve been the closest person to the answer without getting it right before Sculli posted it...but that's where it stops...you were the closest wihtout getting it right to the GENEROUS PERSON'S requirements.
4. You make dumb ass assumptions just because Sabia is popular, she's rich... HAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH........ she is one of the poorest people I know that gets by on farming for beehive chips and squeezing into the few things she can to get some money. 1 mil is exactly that... 1 Mil to her. if not worth more sentimentally since it was a gift. She is one of the biggest packrats I know that she'd probalby keep the 1 mil untouched like some of the gifts some other people have got her I've been in her account and tried to clear her inventory with stuff she doesn't need only to have her say.. "Oh, that was a gift, can't throw that out" Like point #1...do your research before you act.
5. You have to seem like you're right and this is why htis post isn't dying and you keep looking like an ass. People don't generaly want to force a person to do something when it was an ACT OF KINDNESS in the first place. People don't have to give you the benefit of the doubt when you're being an ass about it.

Right there, you can see where my part of the argument stands. Whether or not his hat is black or white, it's easy to see that the middle person on the right can tell either way.

As for Sabia... lmao. I'd say something, but I don't want to hurt your feelings like you (and Moch and Sculli and pretty much everyone else on this thread) did to me. I know it's not my gil in the first place. It's my earned and won gil.

Using this as a similar scenario:
I win the lottery for $10,000,000 because I got all the numbers right. However, I get to the store a little bit late. Then, Sculli comes in with forged numbers because he saw that I won, and cashed it in.
There's no real difference here. I STILL don't see how I need the colour of the hat in the answer.

Besides, wouldn't you whine if you had like 30k at any given time, then someone dangles 1mil in front of you and takes it away? You know how often that's happened to me in the last two weeks?

Regardless of the fact that you knew you were speaking about the correct person, you still said number 2, which makes you w r o n g.

Basically it's just a summary of what I said, so it's not the first one to get it completely right. Of course, according to the scrubs, the question clearly asks what colour it was.
