Demo came out a couple days ago, I enjoyed it! I had slight issues with movement but I got used to it.

Yeah, I have it preordered.

I loved Indigo Prophecy, so I'm sure I'll enjoy this one too.

I love games like this. The Longest Journey, and Dreamfall were awesome, so yeah can't wait!

A different kind of game, for sure, but definitely a unique feel to it. I played the demo tho I have one question about the 2nd part. Is there anything else to do besides walk around and find clues?

I was shocked by how awful the demo is after hearing all the good things about the game. Considering the type of game it is, I was expecting top notch animation, voice acting, and dialog (especially the last two). All I saw was complete shit. The story seems like it could be entertaining, but I don't find QTE fun nor the graphics, animations, and voices appealing so I'll be passing on this. I do like the control scheme in terms of walking and looking around though, it gives it this feeling of the old survival horror games. I'm normally not one to bash on graphics, but this game is a book, so for fucks sake at least make the pictures appealing... The characters were no where near the quality they were shown in pictures and what not at the various game shows and in magazines.

The voice acting is pretty much native French people trying to speak in American accents. It's hilarious.
I'd rather watch someone play this game before I bought it, though. The controls are awkward as all hell.

I agree Strid it doesn't look like I thought it would. It doesn't look bad, it looks above average, but I was expecting amazing. The voice acting I don't have a problem with really. The gameplay is better than I thought once I get used to it. Looking back on the demo I think it reminded me a lot of those old click and type adventure games on the PC, like Hugo and Indiana Jones. It's not bad in that respect. I think I'd like this game more at $40 though.

If you walk around for too long, mess up the moluntain climbing a few times, and get all wet with the car driving by, choose not to drink coffee, he starts coughing etc. So he'll likely be sick in the game then (and maybe die? xD)

Like someone said before, its a French game, hence why voice acting and lip synch isn't the best. I thought the graphics were acceptable though.

I'm glad I am not the only one who thought this. I hate this control set, and quickly deleted the demo after making it through the tutorial.

I don't know why survival games have to have a shitty control set though. I guess the harder they make it control wise..the more "survival" it feels lol.

So, basically what you're saying is I'm playing as the sentient will of the flu. Now that's fucking meta.

I actually thought the voice of the P.I. in the first part was pretty spot on for the character. The others did seem to be a little off though, especially the FBI guy who sounds like he's channeling a little Christopher Walken.

Especially after Resident Evil, practically the granddaddy of the genre, moved on back in 2005.

I thought he was the best out of all the voices in the demo and the mall video. The bald guy and the prostitute, though... haha, oh wow.

See, I don't know why they didn't make the graphics like they did for the guy in the loading screen, he had been worked very hard on.

The prostitute represents all that is wrong with this game. I remember seeing her in Game Informer and the likes and how well done her model was... yet there she stands with a hanging jaw lookin' like death (not from being a prostitute but just from poor animation/creation). I also remember the devs touting that the screens they were giving out was of the game in action, not cut scenes. That kinda stuff pisses me off, I bet there is never a point in this game where the characters look as well done as they did in the Game Informer reveal of this game.

that bugged me too, heh. They said "The following is all in-game graphics", and there's lots of games with better in-game graphics than that. I still thought the graphics were decent though.

Right, don't get me wrong. The graphics aren't really what I'd call bad, but compared to what the developers were capitalizing off of in the mags they aren't even close. Had they shown the game for what it was, I wouldn't have even brought it up. I was just expecting something awesome and got something on par, if not a hair below it. When that happens I feel the need to play the graphics card.

Am I the only one considering buying this?

Forget about the Game Informer review and other crap.

This is a genre that hasn't been touched on much in a long time on consoles. I'm actually quite looking forward to it. The fight scene in the demo was pretty fun too. I don't think it will be the game of the year, but I do think it will be worth buying until other games like FFXIII, ROF, SSF4 come out.
