While you're at it, you could either get rid of all the posts currently in both Event Scheduling forums, or dump them into an archive. Some people might appreciate the memories, I guess, but there's no reason for the threads to be active.

From what I remember, it seemed a lot of the core posters here picked Istory as their XIV home. So since Istory was merged with Mysidia to create Gungnir, why not keep the site specifically Quetz for XI while in some way incorporating Gungnir for XIV?

Since the first time around it was decided to just be a general site for XIV, my group and I ended up on Bodhum (now Excalibur) so unfortunately we wouldn't be on the same server, but I've always liked using the BHE forum section here and likely still will when ARR releases.

Anyway, it seems to me the magic of this place was because it was a specific community. Might be a good idea to try to capture that for the FFXIV ARR release.

Didn't they re-enable subscription fees in like July? I mean if they go subscription-less I would be up for playing again. But at the moment Guild Wars 2 is keeping my attention.

Whatttttttttttt? The Christmas theme is fantastic. I really enjoyed it. Is the BLM theme still available?

I finally have a use for the mobile theme and it's gone.

It does raise the question of what themes are available, and how much of the old QCDN imagery and whatnot got passed on to Shaggy.

They did, but I'm pretty sure they have said when ARR releases you will get at least a month free to try it out. Though it will be subscription based after the trial runs out.

I set it to where you can choose your own theme. Just scroll to the bottom of the site and you will see a drop down that will show the available themes.
 
I miss the gayness, can we get a rainbow theme?

Funny you should talk about RL stuff. Since I quit the game I got into a really well paying career in Corrections working at my county jail, and managed to lose that job a few months ago. I was doing that for almost 6 years. Sucks, but that's life. Took me 2 1/2 months to find a new job, but I am so glad I have one considering how much it sucked not having one. I've re-entered the craptastic world of retail, but this time around I'm stocking at night which pays more. It's something I only plan on doing temporarily until something better comes along, but It's working for Wal-Mart and believe it or not they are actually a pretty decent employer. They're opening a new store in my city (they already have 3; 2 in town and 1 out at the beach) and I'll eventually be working at that location once it's open. For now they have me working and "training" at one of the stores that are already open.

I'm moving out of the townhouse I've been renting for the past (nearly) 5 years because when I lost my job, naturally my income took a dive and I just can't afford the rent and bills. *sigh* Having to move back in with my Mom for a little while until I can get enough money saved up and maybe buy my own place or something. I hate that I have to move back, at my age, but it's what's best for me at the moment and will help me out the most in the long run. I think I'll need a year, two tops, to get back on my feet.

Thinking about going back to school and getting a BS in 'Homeland Security and Emergency Management'. I'll see how that goes with online classes next year. Hopefully things will turn around.

What I'd like to do is utilize my past retail experience when I was younger and my security experience and do Loss Prevention/Asset Protection, but that would take some time since most places I've seen only hire part time for those positions. Again, that's only temporary until I can achieve a more professional career with the help of a degree + my experience in corrections.
 
well the holidays tend to slow things down. I can't wait to watch everything unfold after the updates.

Yea, I have to redirect it still. I was still pointing on Reese's old hosting account and redirecting to eosun. I forgot about doing that and need to redirect it here on my own server. Getting that corrected in a few.

Edit: I just changed the DNS to point to eosun.org for now. It will take a few hours to propagate correctly so you may not see the correct redirect right away.

I am planning on moving the site back to qcdn.org. Just with the holidays and the kids off of school for 2 weeks, I wasn't able to get it done. I will this coming week.

Indeed. Whether or not it's possible to return the site to its former glory(?), it's nice to have someone in charge who gives a shit, lol.
