Hey! A few of us are still around. I think Kyrial will be playing until the day they shut off the servers, or until she's completed every mission and quest with every possible female character job/race combination, whichever comes first.

You should come back! You know you want to level COR to 99. ;)

whats up Areya! nice to see you back on the boards.

Oh shit, Areya's back.

hahaha wow nyosan. I might make a come back. Depends on how busy my clinical days are in the summer. Depending on how cool scholar is, I may definitely return to play the hell out of that job. What can you do with it? dps? heal?

well well well. i was wondering when you would show up again. every time i see i mithra corsair i'm reminded of you, lol. I gotta show you my rng when you get back. :)

Scholar's pretty fun, and it's only going to get more fun as the level cap goes up.

Right now, it's a very solid healer/buffer while in Light Arts. Accession makes almost any White Magic spell into Area-of-Effect, allowing Scholar to give full potency Phalanx, Stoneskin, Enspells, and just about anything else you'd want (short of Reraise, unfortunately). It can also do the same thing with other parties. Hit Accession, and toss a Cure IV on another person in a different party, and you've essentially got a Curaga 3 you can target just about wherever you want. Right now it doesn't have Haste, which is its biggest draw-back. Once the level cap hits 80 however, /WHM will give it Haste.

Dark Arts allows it to act very much like a BLM. It grants access to Tier IV elemental magic, and there are stratagems to halve MP cost, increase damage dealt, and provide area-of-effect debuffs. It also allows for more potent Helices, which are high-DoT elemental magic spells. Merits allow for specialization in Helices, allowing for them to deal even more damage.

It's a really fun job, which is only going to get better as the level cap increases. It may be the first one I take to 80.

lately my butt's getting kicked in clinical, so after this semester is over i'll make my decision.
