That signature is flamebaiting anywhere outside of the FB, easily. It does not directly name names but the point is there. Hook, line and sinker. With the amount of people that rate Hellstorm down its like throwing chum in shark-infested water and then acting shocked when your leg gets chewed off.
Now, aside from the side bickering in this thread, I can easily say this thread is necessary. Personally, I see Hellstorm's boastful behavior somewhat fitting seeing as its almost as if he was treated with favoritism. Not because he's particularly likable on the boards, but perhaps because it would really piss some people off if he got his way.
He complained that the reputation system should be shut down for a long time. Before him, many other people appealed to the mods to have it shut off as it creates somewhat of a diversion to some good posts by those that aren't particularly favored because of either in-game activities or past instances on this website where people disapproved. Personally, I've thought it a game. Its funny to see how people take it sersiously and then its amusing how sometimes it actually gets to people who don't take it seriously. He whines and its given a 'shut down' option, which I can agree with, but I think is funny. On one hand I can see where its stupid to base someones worth by the ratings on a message board. On the other hand I can see where its worth looking at because maybe these people are Red for a reason. So there's that. He's been given leeway after stomping his feet and whining enough. Out of spite? Maybe. Out of not wanting to hear him fucking whining? Most likely.
Then, theres about the two week period where nearly anything Hellstorm posted in he derailed into a RDM/Melee/Tank discussion. He was told multiple times to just giiiive it up. Did he? No. I said myself, that people were honestly trying to help him, trying to let him know 'just let it go, say your piece in a thread created for that specific topic and just talk your shit up there. Actually research it, don't make sweeping assumptions, yaddayaddayadda' and he said 'Tough shit'. That's just after attempting to help. Now, I'll fully admit I'm not the nicest person at times and will say things in a slightly abbrassive manner, but its still there. You try to steer him in a direction where people wont be bothered by him as much.
I'm just as sick of hearing about him as anyone else is. He's an ongoing joke, I'm sorry Hells but you are, and the joke needs to be put away. For as long as you keep this crap going, you're going to get rated down. Its not abuse when its justified by an idiotic post thats just repeating the same swill over and over again. Abuse and harassment using the reputation system is something like... owait, just refer to Garvin's sig.
