I have check many fourm by google search, and trying to find a way to work myself, but i couldn't get pass the installer shield thing, everything i do always end up saying "This product will not run on your operating system. Please contect Activision for information on versions of this product localized to work with your operating system" right after installshield at 100% and going to he installing mode, can anyone of you able to help out?

Anyway... thanks

sadly if activision doesnt have an updated version for current gen stuff, you may never get to play that game again. i cant play Mtv's Club Dead anymore :/

Try using VDMSound. its a dos emulator. I've gotten many old games to work using that, like Tie Fighter.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/vdmsound/

If it fails first time, then try again. Often needs some playing around with.

I don't think that game is running on MS-DOS, i know that game is running on Window 95/98

Yeah, but Win95 was running on DoS too hehe.

Give it a shot. Heck, I'mma find my old copy of Interstate 76 too and test it out.

edit: Btw, what OS you running?
I'm running XP Pro here, and just installed the game fine. Gonna try play it now...

Windows XP and Vista both have a feature that let you run a program in an older OS "version". I wish I knew where it was on XP, maybe right-click > properties > compatability or something (thats where it is on Vista).

It works like 90% of the time

Just tested it, also with that config. Could get into menu and all, however it wont locate my CD drive, since the game is not built to handle speedy drives.
Gonna try uninstall, then install with VDMSound and run it with that too.

Well, just tried with VDMSound, and it was a no go.

It installed just fine and ran fine too, but it wont locate my CD drive, wich is needed to play.

However, there are many ways to get oldies working. Found lotta threads on google. its just keep trying.

Google find.

Also, there is some kind of patch, if you run the Gold version. got no idea if link works.

Try running the setup file on the CD, with that right-click > properties > compatability thingy, and set it to run in win95/98 mode. Might work.

i have never got anything that wont run to work using that compatability thing to make it run as if in 95 or 98, its annoying.

Just use Daemon Tools or PowerISO... makes it possible to run virtuel drives, in wich you can mount thoose *.img files and run it like normal CD's, without ever wasting time and money on burning it onto real CD's.

This is before it tell me where you like to put it in your directory...

This game had the most bitchin' soundtrack ever. The golf cart songs from i82 were good, but the nasty funk of i76 still rocks my playlists.
