Heroes Season 2 (Possible Spoilers)

After last night and what I have heard about this season I get the feeling now that Hiro will become the hero of legend. Supposedly there will be some bad guy who is thousands of years old. This also makes me beleive Kensei's power isn't exactly the same as Claires. I believe Kensei is just immortal and not a healer.

Jereme, I tought exactly like you but then I remembered when he healed instantly the wound from the arrow Hiro took out of his body. That makes him a Healing Factor user.

Now we have 2 duplicated powers (Nathan>West and Claire>Kensei not counting Linderman>Alejandro [from Elo's hypotesis])

Just my thoughts on the duplicated powers. No one ever said that powers couldn't be duplicated, just that no one has yet seen them duplicated. It doesn't mean that it can't happen just nothing has been documented in regards to it.

We are only getting a glimpse of some of the people with powers or evolved genetics on the show. There are countless others who have abilities or powers that may not even be aware of them yet.

You are right. But since we have seen the powers emulate we need to start making a list of the duplicated powers. Who says QCDN can't be the first to categorize? Maybe when people start making Google searches this site will start poping up and surfers will come here just for our good hypotesis. ;D

ps - Mama Petrelli and Kaito Nakamura? D=

I like how the healer said "Your disease is powerful enough to kill even the devil"

Yea that was pretty cool. I wonder what she would have seen if she had checked Alenjandro (no clue on his name so bear with me lol) Since they are twins it would only make sense that if hers is dark his would be light. Which may explain why he is able to reverse her symptoms. Her powers definitely seem to be emotion based though.

This new season is awesome so far. I love the Hero story line and cant wait to see how it turns out.

Is it just me or does Peter seem to be more of a bad ass this season and less of a wuss. I am guessing that while he was missing he was taught by the company how to control his powers. My guess is that the company found him and taught him to use his powers then released him for future use thats why he now has the same necklace as the Hatian.

I also had some thoughts on why the writers have structured the hiro / everyone else timelines the way they have.

Hiro's powers are not finely tuned - it's obvious that when he jumps several hundred years his landing point is a date range several months wide. This may become more finely tuned as he matures and learns to use his abilities, but right now it's clear that when he returns to the "present" from feudal japan, he will return 5-6 months after he left in his initial backward jump.

So, there were really only two ways for the writers to do this.

1.) Spend three to four episodes telling only Hiro's story, then have him jump back smack dab into the middle of everyone's life.

2.) Do it the way they're doing it, to give us context into what everyone else has been doing when he does return.

I think the first is structurally boring, and deviates from the established flavor of the show. So that's why they went with option 2.

Heres what I think will happen with Hiro. He will continue to do things as Kensei and become stronger with his powers by doing so. The real Kensei will take the all credit though.

And Peter was never badass. He was a pansy last season. I just wanted to shave his head. D: Though with his memory loss he seems to be badass. I hope to god he doesn't get his memory back and becomes a pansy again.

I'm very curious to see how Claire's life will turn out. Will her and that kid become friends like the kid from last season or something else completely?

I don't know about what will happen this season, but during the chemistry class I got this very strong hunch that the next time Hiro travels ~20 years into the future we will meet the renowned world class geneticist Dr. Claire Bennet.

I am still not convinced Kensei and Claire have the same ability. So far in the story there is supposed to be some mystery person who is thousands of years old. He is evil. We only know of one person from way back then with an ability. It doesn't mean more people from back then don't have them but we only know of one. We also know the legend of Kensei is that he cuts out his own heart. The legend ends there. They never said he died or lived. Now if we cut out Claire's heart is she going to live? Maybe, maybe not. What if out living the women Kensei does eventually love drives him to be some horrible person or the act of cutting out his own heart drives him to this insanity.

Peter was a pansy last season? He had no idea of anything about Sylar but yet he went to Texas to take this guy on by himself.

The twins power is really intersting. It really looks like they are like ying and yang.

I think the Haitian is the reason Peter doesn't remember anything. I think he found him and Peter wanted to forget he even had powers. Peter was probably thinking he is to dangerous after exploding. So he probably had the Haitian wipe his memory to protect everyone from himself.

If I had to predict the Hiro story line I would say that Hiro on one hand will help Kansei to become the hero of legend, but he will also somehow be the one responsible for Kansei's fall from grace to become the new villain in the series. Thus Hiro will have a catch 22 situation where in order to create a hero (and preserve the time line) he must also create a villain (who he must defeat in his own time). Its just a crazy idea but it would seem to be where the story is going.

I don't think regeneration is Kensei's only power. He don't realize the powers he possess, and Hiro will end up teaching him. However, absolute power corrupts absolutely, and he will end up being evil.

Yamagato Fellowship said:
With his newfound knowledge, Kensei fought and won a great battle – thus saving his people. After the battle, the Dragon came to Kensei’s palace to collect on their deal. The Dragon demanded the life of the princess. Kensei refused and cut out his own heart, handed it to the dragon and said, “My love is in here. Take it.” And then he died. When the Dragon saw what Kensei was willing to sacrifice for his people (and his love) he was so moved that he replaced Kensei’s heart and breathed fire-life back into the swordsman.
I'm not really sure if they said it in the show clearly but that's what that website says. I'm leaning towards that he has the same powers as Claire. If you had cellular regeneration would they keep regenerating to the point of everlasting youth? Just a thought.

They did not mention that he was revived, only that he killed himself for the princess.

Also, I wanna see more of Sylar already :(

Good find Stine.

Well originally when they announced David Anders being on the show they had anonounced he would be playing Kane. Kane is said to be thousands of years old with the power of immortallity. We know Kensei isn't Kensei's real name. I just think it makes perfect sense that they didn't really make a mistake they just didn't want people to know Kane and Kensei were one in the same. Kane also has the ability to control bugs. Which would probably explain the roaches from season 1.

Whoa, you think what attacked mama Petrelli in the precint were insects (rats, ants or cocroaches), sent by that guy?

Seeing these theories, it definitely is becoming more plausible that Kensei is the baddy~
Has anyone mentioned that it *is* his symbol painted onto the pictures of Kaito and Mrs. Petrelli?

So far, however, he just doesn't have the bad guy personality. But alas, he is discovering his new power~ With great power comes great responsibility! (lol) and he will prolly end up misusing it.

And I think it's possible that the regen is the same as being immortal. Claire is still 16-17 years old, so we dunno how immortal she is. She *can* regenerate a toe, though! Why not a heart? The body still processes momentarily without a heart, at least for a tiny bit, right? (tiiiiny bit, but maybe enough time?) Or is that only if the head gets chopped off.... Meh.

Also, back on Maya and Alejandro, it was as her tears were falling that she got all freaky-deaky (I has gud vocabulrry) Is it just crying that causes her power to activate? Or just the emotion in general?

Well considering she's died and had her chest ripped open in an autopsy, I think that ripping her heart out shouldn't be much of a problem. How long do you think she was dead for? Obviously there'd been the whole crime scene, then they'd moved the body into the morgue, they'd had the initial surgery, finished and the doctors had left the room.

That's gotta be 20 hours?

I feel that Claire's Achille's heel is her brain. Any part of her body can regenerate, as long as her brain is intact to run the reconstruction process. So if her skull was caved in and her brain pulped (say, by a building falling on her head) I think she'd be dead for good.

That aside, I can see her being immortal. Her DNA encodes her growth to adult state, at which point she stabilizes - dead or weak cells are replaced by healthy ones ad infinitum. Her bones don't get weak, her heart doesn't give out, her immune system doesn't crap out, her skin stays young and stretchy, even her brain cells replenish themselves. I think by the time she hits her early 30s she will stop aging. This is all pure hypothesis, naturally. I would posit, however, that as she grows older her brain will start overwriting sections of itself with new brain cells - her memory will have holes in it. By the time she hits 1000, I would guess she would have only a few vague memories of her childhood, probably a few holdouts of the major characters and events (like Peter and the bomb).

That was, actually, something attributed to Wolverine's memory loss as well. Until they retconned it, but it does make sense.
