TV Heroes Season 3!

Spoiler:
Magneto was pretty bad ass in his own right; but have you read the novel on the German. I definitely think he is his own character with a similar type ability. Most of the abilities on the show are rip offs in some way from other super heroes. Peter is just Rogue only he doesn't have to touch them and he keeps the ability.

Spoiler:
Rogue doesn't KEEP the powers she borrows though. She also absorbs the person's thoughts and memories which Peter doesn't do. Magneto's ability is to create/manipulate electromagnetic fields. I can't remember offhand the exact wording of the German's power, but I'm almost 100% positive they said he can manipulate electromagnetic fields. It doesn't really matter though considering that with the billions of mutants created at this point by Marvel it'd be almost impossible to find a power they haven't done yet. :P

I'm still kinda curious about...

Spoiler:
Future Ando. Does he really gain powers, or is it just a "doppelganger" powered villain with multiple abilities (Sylar? Peter?) I like the idea of Ando having powers and ultimately having a showdown with Hiro, seems like it would really fit well into Hiro's tragic character.

Spoiler:
I answered the part about Rogue and keeping powers. They actually say the German's power is to manipulate steel. However reading the novel about him it is definitely more then just steel. It is definitely impossible with both DC and Marvel out there for so long to produce something that isn't going to look at least a little similar to something they have done already. I am guessing this new future created by Peter stopping Nathan is what caused Ando to get his abilities. I mean would Surresh have made his forumla and tried it out if Nathan had come out about the abilities? I mean you can always tell Ando would definitely like to have some sort of ability to be on an equal playing field with his friend.

So wait, how did they

Spoiler:
Explain how Claire was dead in the future, yet can't be killed?

Spoiler:
the immortality part of her powers wasn't active in season 1. Sylar fucked shit up by poking around in there

Spoiler:
I'm loving the badassness that is Angela right now. That dialogue between her and Sylar that goes something along the lines of:

Sylar: What's her [the girl that could see a person's history by touching them] power gonna do that can help me?
Angela: Feed you.
-Girl screams in pain as Angela walks down the hallway.-

PERFECT.

Have to say I'm not enjoying MohinderFly, though. He got so skeevy after injecting himself and going on that power trip that I was kind of glad when the side-effects manifested.

Spoiler:
You know, I don't understand why people keep calling Bob's power alchemistic. I mean, he can turn anything into gold. But that's all he can do. He was never shown to do anything but that, and even when Sylar was over Elle all he did was turn the metal on the gun gold while boasting "Look what I got from your daddy." So.. Bob really only had a controllable Midas touch.

Other than that, OMG I can't wait for the rest of this season!

I bought Season 2 on Monday.. watched all on Tuesday. Then stayed up and watched the first few episodes of season 3 on nbc.com.

Spoiler:
What would be the need to show anything other then turning objects into gold? All he was doing was proving he could manipulate objects by turning them into gold. Name a time he really needed to turn objects into something else and couldn't. There was no need for it so it didn't happen.

Spoiler:
Still, that's the only power he was shown to have. So why assume he can turn any metal into another metal? Silver is not as expensive as gold, but still if the show wanted to demonstrate his powers as anything other than what they had shown, they could have. Besides, he said when referring to himself that the company had its own Fort Knox. Which is another gold reference basically. lol.. I'm just gonna give up on this argument though. It's just something that irked me as I was reading this thread and the Season 2 thread.

Spoiler:
Another thing that kind of bothers me about Season 3 right now, is how they completely 180'd Suresh's character. I mean, in season 2 he was always trying to do the right thing.. in everything that he did. He was the definitive 'good guy'. Now (even before he injected himself) he basically refused to help Maya once he realized what he had discovered. Only adding that perhaps he could find a way to take powers away, after going on about how wonderful it would be to give power. His whole power hungry trip, while it was interesting to watch, just felt like.. it should have been someone else, it didn't seem like Suresh to me. Basically I guess I feel like that was very out of character. /rant

Spoiler:
A lot of people are upset about with the direction they've taken Mohinder. But its in line with the season's theme: Villans. Anyone can be a hero, anyone can be a villan. Fucking Mohinderfly...

lol

Spoiler:
Still, of all characters, Mohinder just doesn't fit into the being evil role. Like I said, complete 180 on personality. How does that happen so quickly? D: I maybe could have understood the transition if he were a little more conflicted in the past. But he was always a good guy. >< Now, I can even go for the "I injected myelf, and as a side effect my personality changed" but, his personality was changed before he injected himself (grr.. writers, wtf?).

Spoiler:
It was probably that he was so excited about discovering something and wanted to find out if it was true. Kind of like a kid with a new toy. Wasn't it Elle that said to Mohinder, "What is your power punching bag?" You get your ass kicked so many times by people with powers I'm sure it makes you wish that you had your own to defend yourself. I'm sure that he has the intention of helping Maya with her power. He probably saw that she could control it better and thought that it was okay to test his theory.

Spoiler:
My thought was always that Mohinder needed to learn how to give abilities to fully be able to understand how to take them away anyways. Ecks about Bob; when the writers describe him as alchemy I would say the fans really have something to go on then just what we see on tv. I think the writers know what they are doing and know their characters better then we do.

Spoiler:
Oh? Hmm, well I never saw anything about writers describing his power as alchemy, I was just going off of what you actually see in the series.

Anywho, sucks.. I'll have to catch tonight's episode online when I get home in the morning. >< gotta work tonight. ; ;

Spoiler:
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA Hiro is in Level 5

Spoiler:
I swear if you took all the commercials out, tonight's episode would have been twenty minutes long.

Twenty boring minutes.

The preview for next week's ep looked hilarious. I wanna see Baking With Sylar!

He really is a bumbling idiot sometimes. I still love him, though.

It was about 30 minutes, give or take. I watched it on the DVR and fast forwarded through all the commercials. I did not think it was boring. And I don't understand why you spoiler tagged that. >_>

Everybody else was doing it.

Seriously, though, I like the Hiro and Ando story, but I thought the bank scene was borax.
