MERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRY Christmas (even though its my least favorite holiday)
HO HO HO!
broiled asparagus
Your dinner sounds much better than ours.See, I would have said Jaime Lynne Spears personally.
I've been busy getting ready for Christmas, wearing myself out with all the cooking and baking. Yesterday I made Yankee Clipper cookies (molasses spice cookies with rum icing), did some last-minute holiday grocery shopping, and then made Panettone. Today the first thing I did was slice open my finger while cutting up summer sausage for the kids. >.< Carl had to put the bandages on me because the sight of my own blood makes me pass out because I'm a weak little girl. I then had to knead my rosemary foccacia mostly one-handed, until blood started to soak through the 2 bandaids I have on there. We went out for lunch while it's in its first rising, and I've got it shaped into a loaf now. In a few minutes I'm gonna throw the rosemary on top and pop it in the oven, then get dressed for Mass. After mass my mom is making Christmas Eve tuna fish pasta, and my dad has his famous salad (tuna, crab, celery, olives, and oranges; it sounds weird but it's heavenly). Then we make gingerbread men.
Tomorrow is the real big day for cooking though. Dinner will be cornish game hens stuffed with tangerines and rosemary, roasted root vegetable medley, broiled asparagus, baked polenta, cranberry-ginger sauce, and squid ink pasta with garlic and sun-dried tomato sauce. We've also got all the fixings for an olive and cheese platter, and a plethora of cookies for dessert. To go along with all this is a Vernacchia di San Gimignano for the adults, and sparkling blush NA cider for the kids.
ROFL, did he not read the directions? My brother tried to make cookies yesterday. I should've explained in advance what "softened" butter meant. They came out... interesting, lol.
I'm assuming he melted the butter, lol.
Oh and I should mention, my family's broiled asparagus recipe has converted the heathen non-asparagus believers. And Jamal, if you show up after you told me you wouldn't be here I'm gonna be upset, because I didn't thaw out the extra cornish hens I bought.![]()

Merry Christmas!
I got a bunch of underwear.
Oh, Jamhams, you're in DE? Swing by MD on your way back! We can go beat up Kotsu.
Oh oh, and Allen... I appealed my NKL all the way to admin. Merry Xmas.
