I actually cried at watching the raccoon trying to stay alive after being skinned. It made my heart hurt and it made me angry to know that something like that happened. I have the utmost appreciation, love, and devotion for animals. I absolutely could not continue watching the video after the dog appeared. NO ANIMAL should have to undergo that, but it was crossing a line when there were family pets being tortured. I have a dog and a ferret, and watching this made me want to cuddle with them and thank God I have them. It may sound corny, but that's the way I feel about all animals.
For example, there is a cat that has been roaming around my neighborhood the past few weeks. I came to the conclusion it was a stray and called to it, and it came to me. I began to pet it and noticed it was very malnourished and was badly infested with fleas and possibly ticks. I fed & watered it and bought it a flea collar the next day. I know it is not my cat, but I can't help but to care for it since no one else obviously is. There are not many people who would do that for a stray animal. I cannot bring the cat inside until I know for a fact its fleas are gone and that it doesn't have some sort of disease, which means I would need to take it to the vet. When I have the money I plan to do this, but until then I will continue to provide food, water, and love to a cat that has already given me so much. She is really a sweet animal and I felt better knowing that I helped her as much as I could.
This was just to show that I am a huge animal person and I could slap myself for watching that video. Better yet, I should slap you Scary for posting it. It would be totally different if you actually knew where you stand, but you have made it adamantly clear that you are clueless by your personal contradictions and blatant ignorance. You just showed this video to stir shit up and to call out Asians, which makes you, by far, the dumbest person to ever have logged in on QCDN....I look forward to never seeing you again nor reading/watching what you have to type.
 
You should be aware the video he linked to has changed in the months since he first posted it. Origonally the only thing in it was a racoon getting skinned alive (different from the one now shown in the video). It did not feature any of the dog tortue stuff. This is what happens though when you rez an old dead topic and try to reply to ancient posts.

Keep in mind that those films were staged (see my previous link here or watch Trippy's video) . Those awful people are either PETA members or working for PETA (and affiliate groups). Normal hunters and skinners do not operate like this.
 
Further, you try to put them on the same level as humans, which is rediculous. Given a choice between saving one human or two humans, most would save the two humans.

I have no problem with animal testing like PETA looks so negatively upon but I see NO POINT to killing animals for use on fur clothing for people who want to feel luxurious or some bullshit.

- Or how about killing an animal for food. You don't need to eat animals anymore, our society is well enough on the road that we could grow all our own food. Alot of our food today can be considered luxurious.
- How bout hmmmmm medicines? Is ok to use modern medicine today since ALL of it is turned out to your benefit on the lives of test animals.

Not trying to be an ass, this is just how I see it. Mostly the things we buy and use today in our lives are not because of necessity, but by luxury.

All those PETA people are as guilty as any other person for killing animals for luxury, thats the kind of lives we live nowdays.

I think its HOW you kill an animal that is wrong more than the why. If you start arguing about the why, then your just gonna end up saying no animals should be killed.
 
Just for the record Dark, sheering sheep for wool is the same as getting a haircut for humans. Addittionally, its better for the sheep to be sheered as sheep bred for wool get too hot w/o haircuts.

I'll skip the sheep thing...

We kill cows for meat so it seems like a shame to throw the rest of it away (and no doubt kill another cow for the parts that were wasted).

Snake skin is cooler than lizard skin so no one buys it...besides snakes shed their skin anyway so you could probably make clothes out of that (although they probably kill the snakes anyway). Also snakes and lizards are not cows. A cow comes at you and you have a knife then you kill it; a snake comes at you and you have a knife there is a good chance you will have enough poison in you to drop a rhino before you can react...not saying this makes killing snakes or lizards right but you can't really compare it to a cow.

Also alot of artificial leather is used nowadays.

I am not vegetarian because i believe its crap. Sure i could eat tofu and other crap to get my protien...but i like meat. Would it be acceptable to eat a cow if i killed it myself, like our ancestors did? would that be much better than farming them because i would throw the skin etc away instead of it being used? I do not believe so.

I also agree with animal testing for the most part. Mice and rats have a pretty short life anyway (i owned 3 and they lived for 1-1 1/2 years), i would also imagine that they do not suffer pain or die alot from the testing provided the people creating the product know what they are doing. On top of this they are likely treated better than you or I because they do not want unhealthy mice or rats ruining results.

Not so agreeable about monkey testing though...

Also i agree with your comment about "depends on the human", quite simply not all humans are equal and some are wastes of space.
