Having waded through 13 pages of spelling errors that approach vulgarity, economic conjecture, complete disregard for the update information provided, and a couple people who seem to know what they're talking about i have this to say:

Apperantly some of you read the warning before you hit play and a few of you don't. IMO this update relates to that warning in a HUGE way. Congratulations to those of us who'd rather be xping or don't want to sit next to some jackass who doesn't _need_ an item to function better/properly. To everyone bitching and moaning about how they put so much time and "work" (yes, "work" i can't believe people said it either .. it's a fucking video game, unplug for a minute, jesus.) into what they have, yep that sure does suck, too bad you're priorities were whacked to start off with.

On a side note to rangers. Note: you're not the only job who uses ranged attacks, so fuck off with all your whinning (war, sam POV). On the other job's i play side of things: WEEEEEEEE more invs while you silly bastards try to figure out how to play your jobs again! :lol:

Anyway, Update: GOOD. Elitist bitching and moaning before anyone knows anything more than what SE posted: BAD.

Vang: I can certainly understand why you're upset, but if you're going to let other people dictate how accomplished you feel for being a successful Argus hunter then you need to rethink that.

Given that the drop from Argus will now be rare/ex, I see NO PROBLEM WHATSOEVER that more people will have the benefit of a PCC or reasonable replacement. More people with +accuracy = more people hitting more often = better base level of gear = more xp/hour = I don't have to waste more time leveling with people with crappy gear.

For me, NM hunting sucks. Especially at those four camps where you really have no profit farming available outside of the NM. Emperor spawns right next to the other camper? You just spent 2-4 hours+ for 0 profit. Same with Lizzy, same with Chyme. I know people in my LS who are like 1/130 on Chymes and spend a week down there to get one drop. It's all sunshine and farts that hooray, you got an Archer, but now you have to factor in that you could have gotten 600k in a week and saved yourself a lot of stress.

Stuff like Dune Widow I don't mind as much because I can go farm webs and manticore hairs while Widow pops - but shitty camps like that with absolutely no redeeming value outside of the NM, it'll be nicer to see those free of people needing the item for profit and have the 2-3 people at a time camping them much like Mysticmaker.

To those with a PCC right now: Congrats. It's a great accomplishment and you should be proud of either the gil you spent or the time you camped Argus.

To those without: Here's your chance to get something you never thought you'd have a chance at.

Nothing wrong with being elitist, IMO. Not in the sense you're referring to here. Being condescending toward players with less than optimal gear is wrong, but then, being condescending toward anyone in general is wrong. Being angry that a month's boredom for the game's most lucrative equip is being devalued significantly isn't wrong. I'd be mad if I were in their shoes also. The people who are complaining are the people who'd want to be in their shoes but can't. I'd love to be so well off that I can complain because my PCC's and Kraken Clubs are only worth 10 million instead of 25 million. That's one complaint I can't wait till I'm wealthy enough to make (and when fishing starts rolling in the profits, I hopefully will).

Because war and sam both use ranged attacks as their primary methods of dealing damage and building tp.

Archer Ring, Leaping Boots, Emperor Hairpin, Peacock Charm
In addition, players may receive an EX/Rare or EX item with the same attributes from the monsters who previously dropped each of the above items.

why are ppl discussing there's gonna be a 'new' way of getting these items, it's explained above, you'll get them the same way.

I do not know about this. Looks like if SE was going too do this then they would have gave warnings ahead of time for people that were muling these too get them back on their main characters before the update.

If you are right then I see GMs haveing long chats with people cause I am sure I am calling one too see if anyything can be done about my boots which are on a mule. Maybe nothing can be done about it but I sure am going too contact them too show this is a problem. So maybe next time they pull this maybe they will think too warn people ahead of time.

Frankly, that is reeking of ambiguity. "Change" can mean a lot of things and they aren't being very specific. For all we know, Argus may start dropping 4 different version of the PCC. We're really going to have to wait and see what the changes are before we can make any assumptions.

Exactly my point, believe it or not there's just as many stupid rngs as nins out there. Any rng with some ammount of finesse will do just fine and you probably haven't seen any of them bitch about this change, the rest who just love to spam sidewinder and whatnot are boned for a minute.

As far as your "Work" comment. That all depends on who you talk to, I personally thought getting Lulo's relic weapon in FF10 was work, was not fun at all, dodging 300 lightning bolts, but i did it for completion and sheer satisfaction. That was "Work" according to you, I am sorry I spent 50 bucks on a video game and wanted to take my time and try my best to complete it 100 percent. But I guess my priorities are "whacked" since you have never gone out of your way for an item in a game no?
