How did you come up with the name for your character?

Highlander movie badguy. Just popped into my head at the time of creation.
 
Mithra is the race, and cats are what they are. Very unoriginal, I know. :lol:
 
Loki = Greek God of Mischief
Lokkin = Because some people apparently like Greek mythology as much as me.

Leeyteey = The mule I once had, RL name =Lee, Leey(little sisters pet name for me) + taru speak = Leeyteey
 
Miguel de Cervantes was the author of Don Quixote. Cervantes was taken when I tried to join, so I went with Celvantes because I thought it sounded better.

I ended up meeting Cervantes when I first went to Qufim. Turns out he joined about a week before I did.
 
Taurothar: Taurohtar means "he who is protector of the earth" or more simply put "ranger" in an elven language. I just switched the h and t to make it a little more aesthetically(sp) pleasing. I chose it because I started out wanting to be a ranger but I switched to tanking. Now I'm leveling my namesake once in a while. Also, I'm a Taurus by birth and I like a lot of things that use the Taur~ part.

Raukain (mule): My mage char for when I get the urge to cast things. Rauko in Tolkien elven means demon, Aino in Tolkien elven means holy. I put them together to make Holy Demon, a WHM/BLM combo, and tada, theres a mage name.

Cuthalion (mule): My storage mule, she's a mithra and the name means strong bow or something like that. I stole it from Tolkien's Silmarillion.
 
I used the random name button and chose the first one.

Of course though no one will believe me as people insist I chose this name after Timon in the Lion King. <^>

I just brainstormed ideas for a name for awhile.. and I got Jinnai, and I liked it.. so I used it.. Turns out, it's an actual Japanese name. Roughly translated to: Person/People who are not there/do not exist. Perfect for me, because my favorite job is NIN(though i can roughly afford it) or RDM(sneak and invis anyone?) but really, I play a handful of jobs, so I really don't have an existance in any job.. (besides RDM since I got it to 51).. and when you shorten it, it's nice. Jin. My real name is John, so Jin is pretty good, since it's close to my real name.

Necrosis: Death of plant or animal cells or tissues. In plants, necrosis can discolor stems or leaves or kill a plant entirely.
 
My name is Davis, and a few years ago, I had this thingy that looked like a cape, and wore it and ran around like an idiot. My friend called me "Daveman" cause of the whole running around in a cape like some super hero wannabe. I get called Daveman in RL by some people lol

Ever since starting my online gaming experience with D2, i named my characters Demonknightx. i really dont know why. I guess i just thought it was pretty kool at the time (5th-6th grade)
i would have changed it by now, but im really uncreative O_< also keeping the same names lets people recognize me from other games i play. ^^

my mule = terrademonx cuz thats my AIM screen name.

long time ago on my grade 8 camping trip me and my friends were really bored and made up a story about some crazy hobo that went around killing people in the camp, his name was......Jebidiah!
 
Alota people think i got my name from the Ith runeword weapons from Daiblo 2, but that's not where it came from. My name was derived via...

Athena = Greek Goddess (Hello Captain Cliche)
Reason for that was i like the story of Athena's birth. Zeus had a headache, one of the other gods said "I know how to fix that.../em crackes Zeus in the head with an axe." Zeus' head splits open and Athena comes forth in full armor shield and spear. anyway, back to the point.

In an attempt to un-cliche the name i wanted i turned to my handy dandy alphabet soup, unfortunately it just gave me "OOOOOOOOOOOO"...shortly thereafter i realized it was Cherrio's and not campbells soup ><.

So i switched the A for an I and slapped an S on the end (85% of my RPG characters names end in S, dunno why) and thus....

I looked up a roleplaying name for demons a while before I started FFXI. Remembered the name while making char and decided to stick with it. At the time I wanted to be dark knight and figured a demon name goes with that, but now I realize dark knights aren't evil ^^;;

But saddly that name was taken and I didnt want to do something like add a series of x's at the beginning of the name, so I went with Rorschach.

My name comes from one of the best grafic novels of all time, The Watchmen. The character Rorschach was one of my favorites cause he was like Batman without the gadgets... and he would kill people once in a while. But only those who deserved it :P
