Topic. Figured I'd save myself a few dollars and just start up again when there's something new since I don't play much at the moment.
How does one cancel their FFXI monthly fee?

Log on to POL, go to the FFXI section (not the game) and select content ID tabs. After that go to the option that says Cancel Content ID; this will cancel your monthly payment but will keep your character.
Anytime you want to start up again just go to FFXI section of POL again, and select reactivate content ID and you're set.

when my parents paid for FFXi they had canceled me using my char but still they were charged for 3 months afterwards until they called them
maybe there was more than one error on my part, but just call them to be sure since they will charge you even if your char isnt activated

I have a question on this. Say I change my billing info, and activate a 2nd content ID. will that $1 dollar charge go to me? Or will it go to the previous owner and do I have to wait until sept 1 for billing changes to take effect?
I believe it goes to the next billing cycle. So if you changed your CC info it will be billed on the new info in beginning of Sept. ($2 ..the month it was activated and the beginning of the new month will be billed in the beginning of Sept.)
