Funny thing is I was just thinking how boring the flameboards have been boring lately. Just didn't know I was going to be involved in one to make it more interesting. :oops:

nope.. there are several things that drop the key.. if you really want to be around the helm beetles go past that and normally I dun see lower levels leveling there.. there's also to the other exit into Rolenberry Field... so ya.. there's not just there
 
I know Quitita, but now very well. Doesn't seem the type to act like that,
but like I said I don't know him/her very well.

Quitita gave me a pearl to "Hellraisers" but when I found out wolfskymoon
was in it, I dropped the pearl and crushed it under my bootheel.

I'm not going to hold this against any of the parties in question, and yes, I am sorry that we got off on the wrong foot.

I was unneededly angry about this, because our static didn't get to level LAST week either because of the crap POL shit going on. I only hope our next experience in game can be one meutually beneficial for the both of us.

On the thread jacking theme here; This happened to me in East Saru. My friend was lvl 6 and a lvl 50PLD was farming Bees in the area..... WTF is that? :cry:
 
bees for synthesis usually.. that's common... but ya... there's other places with better drop rates for that stuffu...
 
I was part of the XP group last night.

I wasn't annoyed because it's our only static night--no one is holding a gun to our heads to be with a static that meets only once a week, no matter how much we like each other. I wasn't annoyed that there were other people killing mobs in the area. When you go to any hunting spot--XP, coffers, whatever--there is often competiton for a limited number of mobs. If another party pulls quicker than us, well, too bad for us--such is life.

Summer's party first moved in to the area where we were XPing and started pulling like this (like I mentioned above). Which is fine. We asked them to not camp so close to us, and they moved further down the hall. Shortly after, though, for some reason--they ran out of patience, whatever--they started pulling several mobs at once, spread out and camped every spawn point, and started laughing at our puller when he tried getting a mob. When a beetle popped among our party members, they took it. When we were dealing with what looked to them like a link, they just laughed at us some more.

This is not a post about what you can do. Can you claim an HNM when the party fighting it loses its claim? Can you con someone out of an expensive piece of gear? Can you train farm all the mobs in a lowbie area and then try to MPK someone because they took from your train? Sure. The game allows all these things to happen, and there's not much anything can do about them. Should you? Are you an asshole when you do these things?

Cherubael says that the guy you were getting the key for is very nice and helpful to everyone. Big whoop. I don't care if you're getting coffer keys for Mother Teresa. It doesn't change your actions in the least. I find it hard to believe that these were the only coffer mobs that a party of higher-level (10+ levels ahead of us for the most part) people have access to in Crawler's Nest. But even if they were, you didn't have to go about it in this way.

I think I am a fairly laid-back and reasonable person. In fact, I didn't say anything to the coffer party through most of this. It was when someone in that party told us "You can just XP some other time," that I responded with "By that token, you can just coffer hunt some other time." It wasn't until those party members started laughing at us that I /slap'ed a couple of them, and I stand by that.

Kipsy says she will not hold this against these guys. This is my only experience with them, and I will damn well hold it against them. So, you're all going in the "asshat" file until you prove yourselves otherwise--which I don't expect will happen, since I have no incentive to associate with you after this.
 
This is true - there was TONS of laughing at the lowbies going on. >< I think that is why Sneaky started in with the rude /emotes. They knew exactly what they were doing.
