I've helped quite a few people get this dagger after I got mine... he sucks to camp, honestly. His window is 9-"x" hours, he usually pops first wind after the 12th hour if he didn't pop by then, though.

Seems counter-productive though, I spent so much time camping it only to phase it out by Mercurial Kris a couple weeks later.
 
anyways.... back on subject. :p

to put it bluntly, this NM is a biiiitch. i got lucky enough to catch an Ls doing it, and i helped 2 of their members get theirs (well, i was present, i cant really say i DID too much ; ;) and i was lucky enough to get their help in getting mine after those 2. All in all, 4 days solid camping, with 1 that didnt drop, and 1 or 2 nm's that despawnd. But when we actually fought:

had a nin (or a thf works to) tank it. they were the only ones that attacked. the NM has nasty TP attacks that go through shadows, which can get to be pretty ugly. One of the claims we lost, a rdm (i think it was) solod it. slept or bound, DoT, it took a loooong time but they did it.

getting the damn thing to spawn is usually the problem, the drop rate is pretty good, but not 100%

I wiped to Kreutzet today and then it despawned. I love SE.
