I'm sorry, been trying to follow "As the Bullshit Turns" this past week and I'm starting to draw blanks on wtf is supposed to be going on here.
1) We know these asshats bot. Implied, straight declaration, hearsay, or whatever, it's common knowledge. I get that.
2) They didn't "dominate Quetz" as was in their mission statement from the outset.
Here's what I'm having difficulty understanding.
Does Amerie identify with these people? Does she expect the (QCDN-representative) server populace to make nice with them? Or is she just acting as a self-appointed "mediator"?
I hate to draw this parallel also, but why is Amerie acting like Vandoura during the height of the "innocent player hacking incidents"?
Please answer fast, because I'm really having trouble trying to follow wtf she's on about.
Signed,
A Concerned QCDNizen
No no, not at all. Don't read too much into what I'm saying.
I was saying, I would have no problem with them if they didn't cheat. I hate that they use third party tools and I hope those who use them, get banned and I will do everything I can to help with that even if I have to report them 1000 times.
It's a touchy subject and I'll probably get flamed for it but I was simply saying, I did notice before all botting and etc, as soon as they simply "appeared" they were already getting flamed and etc. Simply for just coming here with the desire to be in endgame and people were attacking them. I'm not defending them, I was just saying I personally thought some people acted a little too immaturely towards some of them before they even started getting involved with endgame. Which in my eyes, wasn't really a mature thing to do. It probably wasn't a smart thing to add but I thought I would be fair and add that observation.
As for the rest, I don't really see anything wrong with communicating with people intelligently to resolve conflicts. If people could come together more and discuss things, specifically shells like this, who come to Quetz to become active in HNM, maybe they aren't familiar with the "way quetz does things". I myself am not from here and It took em some time to get used to the way and understand the way you guys do things. I never did what they are doing but nonetheless the server is a bit "Different" than most.
Talking to people, communicating with others calmly and respectably, however naive it may be; is a more effective approach to dealing with "new comers" than harassing and becoming part of the problem. Now im not saying most of you are doing that nor do I care. Their cheating and cheaters get what they deserve, however, I think it does nothing but fuel it as well as set a bad example.
They wont be the last server transfer bot LS to come to Quetz. I can tell you that right now. More will come. Quetz endgame is so underpopulated it is so easy to get king gear. Most servers have such overpopulated HNM scene.
QCDN is a very nice social tool and keeps this server "close" together. We all know each other. Reporting cheaters is always the first thing you should do and even reporting several times. Hence in my signature, Im encouraging people to click that link and report members of PP for botting. Anyone who is associated with them and claiming or even not claiming. Anything suspicious. If they aren't doing anything wrong, they don't have anything to worry about and shouldn't take it personally.
This is going to sound very naive and maybe even stupid but another effective approach to dealing with LS' like PP or any LS that comes into Quetz to be apart of endgame, maybe if leaders of shells, particularly the ones active in zilart, toau Kings and what not should make agreements between as HNMLS leaders to ensure endgame stays a more fair, fun and drama free environment. I think something like this, as well as reporting suspicious behavior in game can help filter out the majority of people who believe they deserve to have a better advantage over another player, who is playing fairly and by the terms of service.
