Hurricane Katrina

Well kinda too late for me to leave anyway. My family runs a chain of stores and i manage one them and HAD to be there today... they highways are dead lock and all the hotels are sold out 100 miles north of us... No family to go to unless i travel 600+ miles. So leaving is not an option.


Good thing i dont live in NO though, i just live not far from the coast. It hits at around 4-7 am.... they say we could go 3 weeks without power..

I went a month and a half without power after Andrew.

BTW I joing the "Hurricane Club" this past thursday. :oops:
 
i too live in NOLA and will be riding this storm out. Elph and i live in a very strong building and will be safe. as for power and all i dont expect to be back any time soon. i'll see you all when i return.

yeah, this one is gonna be bad.. i am from new orleans too, but atm i dont live there. luckily, most of my friends and family evacuated w/ the exception of my grandparents... they just wouldnt listen. anyway, im expectin refugees to show up around 3 or so in the am, so i think i may be up for a while. zalt and elph, u guys stay safe and be careful down there.

Well guys im going to bed, when i wake up in the morning we'll be in the middle of it. If i dont post in a week or so that means of course the power went out. Good luck guys and i HOPE to be on this week and if not......

This hurricane was actually supposed to go right through my city.

But it didn't.

I watched Hurricane Charley (I think that was the name) ruin a few trees and blow shingles off roofs. Good times. Power was out for like 2 days. Living on one of the majorest major roads ftw!

i wonder if we'll hear from these people again...? How would we know if they didn't make it? Scary...
 
Anybody heard anything about Long Beach MS? it is right beside Gulfport, MS

haven't heard any news from there, or anything from my parents since Katrina hit....
