lmao. Yea, I'm 26 will be 27 in June check the profile :)

Edit: btw Why do Canadians care about who we vote in as President. I post on a few other boards and the Canadians there, always have a opinion about our political system. Its quite funny, because here, I bet 85% wouldn't be able to name your Prime Minister.

Off topic, but Canada finally smartened up the last election and voted the conservatives into power, nice job. Hopefully it's a trend and not a fad.

I dunno, I went to school in Canada (I'm from South Carolina) for a semester thinking that I'd really like it and whatnot, but people ragging on me for Bush and the fact that I'm American got stale really quick (sometime around day two). So yeah, I moved back. It's not everyone, but it seems like the majority of people have something bad to say about America, and it can hurt a little bit after a while.

Anyway, on topic... the only way I'd vote for Clinton is if her competition happened to be worse, which is possible but I think it'll be unlikely. I don't like/agree with a lot of her ideas.

Guys, shes starting a conversation... WITH US!!!

Canadians generally have this infatuation with showing that they're not Americans (no shit) and will say some really stupid things at some really stupid times to ensure they stand out of the crowd. Canadians just seem to particularly dislike being lumped in with Americans in several world issues, undoubtedly due to our hippy-peace-love thing and it's contrast to the American way.

However, those people seem to exist in every society known to man. They are called "morons", and Canada is subject to this disease just the same as Americans, Africans, Jews, mermaids, and of course:

1 good post out of 7400, I'm on a roll...

I'm pretty sure about 85% of our population knows the name of our prime minister, especially since political news is one of the more extensively covered subjects in our daily news on both television and on radio. I would say it's 85% of Americans who don't know the name of the Canadian Prime Minister.

By the way, just for fun. Canadian Prime Ministers in the last 20 years:
Brian Mulroney
Kim Campbell
Jean Chretien
Paul Martin
Stephen Harper

Yea last time I was there your stupid tv channels wouldnt shut up about politics.

No offence to Canada/Canadians, but why is it funny that Americans dont know your Prime Minister or your politics or policies within your government?

Americans really couldnt care less about the politics/politicians/policies of another country reguardless of distance unless there is a direct need to know. Who cares if you are just north of the US, your politics dont involve or affect us. You want to blame someone about another country not knowing who you are, blame the media... or the fact that your country isnt in the middle of a war that it started under false pretenses. zing!

Is it really that surprsing that most Canadians know who Bush is? The man started a WAR against Iraq for Pete's sake. What, did you think that if Canada had started the war with Iraq that the American news media wouldnt be covering it?

I swear to god if she gets into office im moving to canada

Hillary is the devil. I'm voting for Ron Paul. I'll make a big info thread on him one of these days.

Conservative - More of the same.

Pass.

Not that i'm a huge hillary fan or anything but as far as nycon's little rant about how great conservatives are... just ... No.

It's your right not to demand progress of your government, i wont argue that.

Claiming that stagnation is the right way to go, on the other hand, is a naive statement at best.

As i've said before i'll give a damn about politics when John Q. Public is campaigning on the local news out of the back of his van with a solid platform. Until then the system is useless and nothing more than a mockery of it's intended purpose.

I never said it was funny, I was just merely pointing it out. I wasn't even complaining that Americans don't know anything about Canadian government. Why should you care, other than Canada is your Northern cousin. And I was under the impression that Canada/USA Relations were pretty important. It's beneficial to us to know what is going down south of us. Guess I was wrong huh!

Edited for proper puncuation
