I do have a tendancy to get spontaniously tired however. I could feel like I could go for hours, then randomly not be able to keep my eyes open after 10 minutes.

Drunk and/or high, doesn't get re-invited or partied with by me. I swear to god, I don't want my life in the hands of a White Mage that's drunk.

I tend to tire after I sit through the pt for 4 hours, I come into the pt full of energy but as soon as 2 am rolls around my body just goes dead lol so I complain then say bye bye.,

i've done this quite a few times. i say she says "you have to log off"

she does. but what she means is "if you don't get your ass off that game in the next thirty seconds, i'm going to beat you into a new slacker-skinned rug for the den."

I agrea with you on all of them except the one about logging off. I play at night mostly, (aka when im not suposed to), so my mom can randomly come out into the living room. I have no control over that. Sure, there are a lot of ppl who live on their own or are college kids, but some ppl still live with their parents and must abide to their rules./ I think being forced to log off by a parent is the only reasoneble logging out of PT excuse, IMO.

yeah I get that when I get into a pt after 6 hours of waiting then my bro comes over and has to type up an essay and I could almost beat him for choosing that moment to do his homework. Or when my mothers addiction to spider solitaire comes in and then you can kiss any computer time good bye because I have to get off because "I am your mother and you wont eat for a week thats why!" -mom.

So saying that your mom told you to get off is a reasonable excuse to leave a party.

yeah, well if it were just her, no problem. but when i say no, she goes to mom, and then SHE tells me to get off.

One time I was playing real late at night helping a friend of mine with a quest and I guess my dad had gotten up to go to the bathroom. When he got up he heard noises downstairs (where my computer is) and went into his room and got a hammer.... He then came downstairs and scared the ever-loving shit out of me by rounding the corner with a hammer raised.

It was at this point I decided it was time to move out...

In my humble and not very compassionate opinion: yep.

Anything IRL on your end is, while not your fault per se, still your responsibility to deal with before you get into a party. Likewise for me on my end - one of the reasons I only get 2-6 hours a week for EXP parties.

Sorry if I come off like a asshole, but hey - we've all got problems. Please don't make your problems mine.

The puller had just pulled when suddenly I heard a big noise ... my one year old and a half daughter had just taken something on the head and she was bleeding. So I say on the party chat "Sry, big problem GTG", throw invincible and go take care of my daughter.
I come back a few min later to log off, explain to the party why I had to go and the puller answer : "Wth, only 80 TNL" ... :shock:
He really pissed me off !!! I nearly had to take my daughter to hospital and he was bitching about 80 XP ! (he got them later and much more when my friend replaced me).

Well, you're right, I hadn't considered an actual emergency. It's completely understandable, I had a few when I was helping do hospice care for my grandma before she passed away.

So, please let me rephrase:

It's your fault if it's something you could have predicted or prevented: Such as your mother telling you to get off the computer, or your wife bitching at you to do the dishes, or your sibling wanting to use the computer/PS2, or your girlfriend wanting more attention, or just being too sleepy to PT for more than 20 minutes.

Take care of these things before you LFP - work out things with other people before you LFP - Turn off the goddamn ringer! :roll:

And for God's sake, don't LIE to get into a different party. If you're going to ditch us for somebody else, at least be honest about it! :evil:

And I fully agree, please dont lie to your pty. I have a WHM friend who used to overuse shitty excuses like "My LS need me" or "my mum want the computer" (he is 29 !!!) to quit bad pties (he even did the fake disconnection one time). Personnaly I dont do that ... i do worse ... i stay until the pty die by itself ! :? I just cant leave a pty, even if it's the worse pty on earth

So please, when do you're done with a pty just use these little words "Sry guys, i gtg". Nobody have to ask you why (you're not at school !!!). A better way to do it is : "Sry guys, i gtg in 30 min". And the best way to do it is "Sry guys, i gtg in 30 min, i will begin de search for replacement 10 min before i leave" (but this last case is sooo rare).
