I got this creepy hand written letter...and then found some weirder stuff about it

Don't respond to it. And I don't think there's any use going to the cops about it. Its either a crazy person, or someone sending letters to random people to see who responds, and then try and scam the ones that respond.

Either way, that's so strange... I mean, she writes exactly like a bot. The same phrases repeated over and over and over.

I found this one too;

Notice how similar it is to your handwritten letter.

That facebook link didnt work, and yeah i thought the same about that myspace. No friends...kinda odd for someone who sends random letters to people and then posts all over the internet.
the phone number is 217-431-6469
That ip info matches as well,
The address sticker is from Danville IL.
I also assumed they saw me on myspace or facebook in order to write the letter on my birthday.
And dont say anthrax, about 20 minutes after i read the thing i started wondering if they put something else in there like that...but i feel fine so i guess not.
Im not so much worried about it anymore than i am intrigued about it.

i wont pretend to know how a deaf person may learn to write or speak, but maybe that has something to do with the way she writes? and always in her rooms? wtf?
I got this image of her being locked in a room, being fed fish heads and being allowed to surf the web and write one letter a month to anyone she wants...it musta been my month.

Still, this begs the question: if she's deaf, why does she want you to call her?

Haha

I'm tempted to use IP relay to call the number and see what happens, but I'm not sure what will come back on me if it's some sort of pay charge.

Chasym... I've seen this sentence structure/language choice before. This is part of a very large Nigerian money scamming operation that involves dummy addresses and remote PC connections within the US (i.e. using GoToMyPC to surf the web on a US IP via a computer elsewhere in the world). And yes, they have ways of sending mail that will originate in the US from either willing or unwilling accomplices. This group uses all manner of social networking sites from Facebook to random dating sites to get into contact with people. They attempt to gain a person's trust, and will eventually request money and do everything they can to gain your personal information for the purposes of ID theft.

I would highly suggest not calling or writing back. More than likely, they will just use whatever you send them as a foothold to get into your life even further. Ignore the letter, and buy a shotgun in case anyone shows up at your door.

A solemn end to a rather interesting series of events.
And here I was hoping it'd be an alien or something.

I completely agree with this and what Val said. I decided to Google this name myself for the hell of it to see what if I could find any link to Nigeria, since I saw going through pages of responses as a nice way to procratinate on my Consumer Behavior project. Turns out, I didn't have to; by page five of a Google non-filtered search, I got two hits with the subject line regarding Nigeria. The one that made me laugh was simply titled "NigerianProfessionals".

On another note, page two has where your OP has been reposted to an Aion forum (with a great title for the thread). Kinda a dead giveaway who Imora is, too. I mean, how many folks in Sweden read QCDN and play Aion, anyway?

its Imira :( People didn't like my thread :(

Ok, So I called the phone number that was provided. And someone answers the phone as "Devonshire" Which happens to be a home for the elderly in IL. I think you've got a senile old lady on your hands... who can use the internet.

lol, sorry about that. i was just dicking with you :D

thats odd, my friend called the number last night on his cell and we got a disconnected message. He tried different numbers incase she wrote it oddly and sloppy, we got one that went to an answering machine and he said "We are watching you Ehi" as the message haha.
We then Google mapped the return address. We joked about how funny it would be for it to be a cemetery. Did i shit a brick when it came up and was RIGHT in front of a cemetery! The icon shows up in the middle of the street in front of a cemetery on the border if Illinois and Indiana. Crazy stuff.
But apparently the letter and everything with it creeped my friend out so much, he couldnt even sleep haha

Thats pretty freaky o.0
