Actually, no. If you read what I said rather see simple words and make your own posts, you'd see I said they are similar, but not to be lumped together. Catholics fear god. Christians embrace him. Huge difference.
Its the same religion, just a sect of it.
You must not live in the states because mocking religion is called "hate speech" and gets people arrested/assaulted/sued.
Everyone here don't live in the states, so you could be right. However, saying you don't like a religion is not hate speech, as been already said.
Oh so having faith is ignorant. You get over YOURSELF. Not my fault your mind is too feeble to comprehend "just because I can't see it, MAYBE it's real".
No, but you shouldn't assume its real because you need something to comfort you. Religion is a
theory and can't be proven neither right or wrong, simply because of the way it is built. Religion is there (and so widely spread) because people need answers to every little thing. They need comfort and hope in times of need, which religion is excellent for. It tells them that they will come to a better place after death, and death is something most people fear.
Humans don't like being confused. "What's the reason for life?" is a common question asked, as is "What's my purpose?" or "Why do life exist?". Religion answers those questions. However, it is still just a theory
You don't see people that chose to believe in the theory of evolution beat up christians because they believe in something different. And unlike Christianity and other religions, evolution and science are both based on facts, observations and theories (thesis), and are ever-changing. Cristianity and religion as a whole doesn't changed, and is based upon only observations and theories. There's no facts involved, nor does it contain any claims which can be observed as true, simply because God can not be observed, and God is the core of Christianity. There's a lot of claims supporting evolution and science, such as skeletons, fosiles, DNA samples etc. However, there's nothing that can be directly observed which supports religion. There's a lot of observations you can do (and arguments) which disproves religion, but there's ALWAYS a plan-B to explain that, such as "free will". One of the requirements to make it a valid theory, is to NOT have changable variables.
According to you, I'm sure Earth is the only planet with life in existence because you can't "see" anything else. God, you must have lived in science classes.
Because of the large amount of bodies in the universe, be it satelites or planets, there's a high probability that life exists on other planets, be it in the form of bacteria or more complex creations.
Life on another planet, however unlikely that is, to me is more likely to exist than your God. But until someone like you comes along, I dont PUSH my beliefs on other people. If you wanna believe in God, go for it. But when you attack me because I don't, or try to push your beliefs on me, then I got two words for you: Fuck off.
if you wanna continue this, make a flameboard theard. I'm not gonna reply here again.
Life on another planet is not that unlikely
