I do think you've entirely missed the spirit of Good Times.
As has been established, many many times before you posted this, Good Times is a place to post things that people did while having a "Good Time". If Aud et al had a good time leveling Willian to RDM75, or obtaining 202 Parrying (an achievement, to be sure...I doubt I'll hit it on DRK - 104 and holding), power to them. Likewise, (sorry Davion to bring this up again) if Davion had a rip-roaring good time leveling Corsair to wear a Pirate hat, then power to
him too!
However, the judgment of what is or what is not "good times" is not for you or anyone aside the Admin and Moderation staff to discern.
Did I have a good time leveling to 75? Bet your ass. What was more good about it for me, though, was seeing my wife hit level 75 before I did. I kept a solid 3k exp above her that I obliterated through various self-inflicted KO's just so that I wouldn't DING before she did, as a matter of fact. It's an accomplishment she'd been attempting since PC release, and for various reasons she was unable to finish until now. It wasn't a personal choice, it wasn't because she up and decided "oh hey, I'll just go ahead and get 75 now". However, my point isn't about all that.
My point is about this: One man's good times is another man's idiocy.
If you're so quick to judge the GT board yourself, let's take a look at this gem and decide,
by your standards, whether it's "Good Times" or simply "lulz".
One man's good times is another man's idiocy.

There is definitely a difference between a well thought out and chronicled thread with some pics, and a good story to go along with it, and a "omg i need attentions!". That post of mine, was "attentions".
A lot of the threads in GT, at least the ones that aren't "farewell" threads, are people wanting to be congratulated for things. Tyrath's "killing odin" thread for instance, is not. Tavjon's (with no offense meant) 75 SCH thread is. There's also a big difference in posting on your LS boards, and on QCDN.
Except some things really shouldn't get congratulations, in this point in the game time.
Some things are timeless and should always get some sort of congrats, graduating school, having your first beer, passing your driver's test, moving out, etc.
I can't really think of anything FFXI (or WoW for that matter, since I know someone would say something about that) related that would be comparable, or at least have that "it may have been done a million times before, but it still deserves congrats"
Sky may have been difficult when it first came out, before everyone started doing dynamis and such, but it's certainly one of the easiest things in the game to attain. As Jamal said (albeit in a joke thread, at least I hope that was a joke thread) "Congratulations on what is the equivalent of handing out the right amount of change as a cashier at taco bell."
Good Times ends up being an endless string of congratulations from one person to another, for things that really don't deserve it. And it ends up devaluing the community emotion. If you get the same "Yay for you" for someone finishing their AF and someone getting 100 in goldsmithing, it's not right is it?
Basically, it comes down to I don't like attention whores. People that feel they should get a medal for every baby step they take. "Here I am, look what I did, love me!" is a fitting attitude for a 5 year old, not someone playing FFXI.
When I first came to QCDN, I mostly read Good Times only. I think my first post was in an FB topic about Langly getting screwed by Darkfat when he was trying to get his AF though, since *someone* is going to look that up. But then more and more, it became this giant circle jerk of people making themselves feel good about doing something incredibly insignificant, game-wise. Now I almost never read any of the topics, unless they're by certain people.
Because you could put in "that's sweet, congrats" as a reply to any GT topics lately, and it wouldn't seem out of place in the slightest. Doesn't that seem wrong to you? For instance, capping parry on ninja or thief takes a significant amount of work, skill, or time. Wouldn't that make you want to say something like "wow I wish I could do that some day. that's crazy"? Could you say the same thing about someone hitting 75?
To put a different spin on it, if there was a 25 year old man who was physically and mentally completely healthy, and he said "I don't wet the bed", would you honestly congratulate him?
Or what if he said "I can finally count to 10"?
TL,DR; Good storied threads, with some detail about 75 and the journey to it, are good, ones saying "DING" and waiting for people to love the poster are not.
