I'm sorry this is just irking me.. Blizzard made noth so there jacking their own system to use in another game? If I'm wrong or confused on what your saying tell me ^^;

On topic the idea is interesting but as others have stated the time needed to make "1337" items should be a great length of time IMO

It's like when people say the Materia system in FF7 rocked. When it's basically a watered down version of the Esper system from FF6, and ignoring it. It's not new, nor improved(in FF7's case, it's downgraded.)

Watered down as in the magic learned isn't permanently on the character, nor are the bonuses given by the materia. Where as the bonuses from the Espers is permanently added upon every level up. Espers is also expanding the old bought magic system of Final Fantasies past.

As well, Diablo II could be considered an MMO, since PSO and PSU are.

materia system was great system, but ive always like ffx grid system.
