If you take your job to heart, you annoy me...

when i first played this game (back in late-2004 with my friends char in shiva server) i tried most of the jobs...but when i played his ranger char, I KNEW, when i got this game, that ranger would be the job that i would take to beat this game. So if anyone wants to talk crap about RNG, talk to me! i dont care if there was a 'gimp' during an update, they can still do the same things they were able to do.(plus we have much more quivers to choose from:))
 
I'm a DRG i chose to be a DRG before I even bought the game, I'm 75 now and working on PLD, but I'm still a DRG and I will defend it againt anyone because like they said theres no reason to bash on other jobs. I pride myself on any job I play but I classify myself as a DRG because thats what I am at heart. I'm sorry it annoys you to have pride in what you do/are but honestly, I know theres something you would defend, maybe not your job in game, but if I were to call you a fucking queer and tell everyone I knew that you fucked your boyfriend and his dog at the same time, wouldn't you defend yourself? Everyone has pride in some things, now maybe my example isnt nearly on the same field of importance, but its the thought behind it. Don't bash people who have pride in this game, they just enjoy it more than you.

That doesnt mean you "enjoy it more than me"... I have no problem with you taking pride in your accomplishments (see: the other 40 posts in this thread), my problem is that people talk about their job class as a club...like "haha we're better than you" sorta shit. I'm not bashing your job choice.

Take as much pride in accomplishing what you have as you want, you SHOULD be proud of the things you have done...but dont try and sound better than anyone else, because if they REALLY want to, they can do the same thing.

P.S. The "fucking queer" line...completely unnecessary. That had no relevance to this argument at all, so please...STFU

That's gotta be one of the worst rl scenario out I've ever seen. Simple fact, DRG is useless, deal with it, level another job.

Most jobs are useless, that's why the people who kill kings started a mage, or leveled a mage to be in their position.

Only melee job worth a shit end-game is SAM (i don't wanna hear no 5min kirin crap till every LS can do it). Everyone else gtfo and level BLM or SMN.

Meeze, tell me, please enlighten me, why are DRG useless again? whats so fucking great about a WAR or DRK as compared to a DRG? And I'm very happy you liked my comment rl scenario =P Also, I currently AM working on another job, however it will be a very long time before I will ever think of mages and SAM as the only useful end game jobs. Theres plenty of other jobs that are useful in any situation, just gotta know how to use them.

They're all useless, no need to compare them to DRG. Wasn't sure whether to add RNG into melee category, but they're useful too.

What we wish isn't always what we get, I love melee jobs, but I'm leveling a mage job to get a decent shot at killing HNMs. The LSs that kill kings on a regular basis don't have a bunch of DRGs and DRKs out there wacking away at them, its sad but true. They got a bunch of people with MP taking chunks at a time out of the NMs. Melee are just a waste of a spot, truth hurts.

Unfortunately thats the truth, Well....mages and PLD really. Which is one of many reasons other than it's a fun job I am lvling PLD. I need an HNM shell or a god shell or both. =\ I would probably stomach lvling BLM (no offense BLM's) if I could actually get it past 20, but BLM b4 20 is annoying as fuck to me. WHM is just annoying period, and RDM.... I would LOVE to lvl RDM, except I need to lvl BLM or WHM as a sub lol..... It will happen eventually, but not today XD
 
lol demo, you of all people should know that leveling whm or rdm is almost imperitive as a dragoon. This is where I come in with drg bullshit to appease the gods. Through your time lvling drg to 75 you could have cut downtime on lvling by runnin out with a mage sub and killin a few things. Then your problem of lvling rdm wouldnt exist lol.

Yeah i know lol, believe me I know. But......GOD DAMNIT i hate lvling mage jobs, to me they are just soooooooo boring, I could barely stomach WHM to 25 XD. Im not trying to justify why I didn't lvl any mage jobs for my sub or at all for that matter dont take it that way, i'm just saying.......blah. lol
 
Eh i took it the wimpy way. Took whm to 30, jumped blu to 46. Now i have a sub for whatever mage i wanna level

When you spend alot of time, effort, and gil getting a job to 75, you can call yourself that job.
Edit: And I don't mean speed lvlng with gimped gear/spells, but trying to be the best in your job class.

As to the arguement on balance of NIN, it's unbalanced for one reason, one word in fact (imho) : Utsesemi (sp?). Tbh w/o this one spell, theywould just be another DD class with some enfeebling capabilities. To my knowledge, no other job brings so much as a sub just by a single spell/ability (from what I have read dual-wield doesnt even do much as /nin til your main is at least 50).
