OT: I'm a girl but my brother and my husband both wear necklaces occasionally. Usually they're slim ones so nothing too big. I agree with Strid that your friend would appreciate it even if he doesn't wear it. It just shows that you thought enough of him to bring him something.

I wear necklaces. I have two that I alternate between, a Celtic Cross pendant and an Amber pendant with a silver filigree leaf on it. Love em.

On topic, I'm not a fan of necklaces besides when I was a fanboy and had a Lionheart necklace like Squall back when I was 13. A ring, maybe "livestrong-esque" bracelet sure.

Ive worn this for years. I honestly don't wear jewelry given to me by women anymore. Bad blood and whatnot, and also I think its cursed or at least it has been for me.

This I created myself and it glistens like the sun haha. The clasp and chain itself I combined two different necklaces and went with a felt rope. Way more comfortable this way. Its odd, but I get compliments on it ALL THE TIME. Kinda funny that a necklace dog-tag combo I made for 30 bucks gets more compliments then some of my necklaces made of silver gold and even diamonds. Kinda shows, less is more.

I'm not a big jewelry guy, but I do think a little simple thing like this does the trick. Ladies love it, what can I say? Less is more. My bracelet for instance is a hard drive strap lol, but again its different and people gravitate to different.
