honestly wtf

show up to an event and complain that it takes time to gather people together

how long have you been playing this game? it takes time to get a full alliance of say blms to do an event...

stop fucking complaining or gtfo seriously...im not in the mood

Generally if it's a pickup event, yeah things take time...but if it's a preset time people are supposed to gather and everyone agrees with it, I'd understand people getting anyone if anyone's more than 10 or 15 minutes late =/ (unless something important comes up)

Sometimes people getting impatient quickly can be annoying, but you hafto consider sometimes these people may not have a whole ton of time to begin with. =/ (but then i suppose those people shouldn't have signed up if they knew they wouldn't have a ton of free time?)

I'm punctual rl and in-game. Fucking slackers like you waste my time. Events don't start at "1-ish", they start at 1, so just be there. If you have shit to do, logout there then you'll be there asap when you login. It isn't hard to not be the jackass who makes a group start late.

How much time are we talking here? There is an acceptable threshold.

I personally view tardiness as an ominous signal.

Edit: lol Rappa's Sig

I so agree with this. I don't understand people who will start getting ready for an event ten minutes after it's supposed to start. It's not really that hard to be ready and at the location at the exact time, it's just selfish fuckers who don't realize how ignorant they really are that waste our time.

Admittedly there are times when shit happens and you can't make the event or are going to be late, which always happens on huge events you've been waiting weeks for, but 9/10 times it's stuff that you can warn the group ahead of time.

Easily avoidable by building a great alliance, applying strategy, and winning things the way they were meant to be won.

Just curious, but what was the event Tok was referring to? I know for a fact that if it was a non-LS arranged one, the largest the requirement the worse the turnout. Pickup DM, SB and BQ runs seem to be by far the worst. =/

P.S. Proph, really neat AV. I know I've seen it somewhere but can't lay my finger on it...

*edit* Judging Skaws post (which I missed as I made this - serves me right for not hitting reload to doublecheck =P), I'm assuming it's one of those DM manaburns?

You would be correct.

Anyone who hasn't developed patience enough to deal with the impatience of people by this point in the game....

Events do take time. bullshit on anyone who says even a well planned and well run event won't have delays. when you're dealing with 18+ people, there's always 1 person who will meet a delay.

It's endgame everything starts late. Get over it.

Yea this isnt a game where you can simply get things done quickly. Be on time if you sign up to a event

Funny thing is, when I did DM regular style, I waited like 1.5 hours or more for people to be done getting ready and gathering, when it was planned for a good while. During the whole fight I think we had 1 death until the last 2mins where like 4 more died, and we won first try, no wipes, one of the most fun fights I've ever done.

So what does doing it with a whole bunch of blms have to do with people being late again? Ok you hate people doing it a cheap way, yay for you, at least try to make logical connections with your hatred.

P.S. I think that everyone should do it the normal way at least once, its really a fun fight to do that way, and no starts that involve a wipe midway, I think those don't do justice to the fight either.

I hate when people show up late too, but not just for myself, but also for the fact knowing that others would be getting impatient waiting, and then I get worried that they might decide to bail and then soon there wouldn't be anyone left to go along with once the others come.

Whenever I plan an event or go to join one, I usually always make sure I have a large stretch of time to wait on people, so for me, lateness isn't a huge issue, it is annoying and I could be doing more things than waiting around, but I tend to waste my time doing a lot of nothing to begin with already.

I did DM fight with a normal group combos, even though our group consisted mostly of WARs, but it took us 1/3 fights, and I think we spent 4 hours or so on it that night.

Conduct an experiment:

Next event you should show up late.

See if the ones ur talking about start complaining about you being late.

Then own them verbally and HQ a Yag necklace right in front of their face.

Then...and only then...will you be ready for the trials.

*whoosh!*

what?
