It fucking blows that your party leader kicked you out repeatedly. ISPs are an easy scapegoat, though, so the burden of proof is really on Vandy in this case. Her outages could have been caused by a bad cable for all anyone knows. That's not important at this point.
What is important is that her party leader, while maybe a little impatient, had to make a decision based on the good of his party. To me, the decision looked sound enough. If I were a party leader, I would give someone five minutes solid to reconnect, and three chances at that. If their connection wasn't good enough to hold, I'd replace them after the three chances, and then I'd politely tell the person "hey, look; this isn't gonna work for my party, sorry. Better luck next time."
I know shit happens, and I know that even weather phenomenon can fuck with a network connection. It happens around my house all the time. I would expect someone to replace me in a party (and it happened!) if my connection couldn't hold.
As a matter of fact, I think I got replaced by friends in a party once because of shoddy connections, while Stine and I were dating. I even called her to say "look, my connection is wonky, just replace me...I think I'll read a book" or something.
