In honor of Final Fantasy, couple names child "Sephirot

well, this kid is never gonna get a Screen name or email address with his name in it ever in anything in his whole life. one expects great things of this lad though.

Why not go all out and call him Jeniffer? Its going to get the same response anyway. Just blatently give him a bad name. Sure most of the kids he goes to school with wont know what it means but that doesnt mean its a good idea. This is why some people shouldnt be allowed to name their kids. It gives too much freedom to ruin their kids lives without even trying. Just ask Conan O'Brian.

"I'll name my kid Vader, sure it sounds cool and means something to me, thats all taht matters. Who cares if lil' Vader gets his ass handed to him by all the kids in school, i get to say "Vader" on a daily basis with impunity(sp)." IDK if this is actually whats going on in the minds of their parents, but if i was named something like this I think I would have to beat them.

And how do you get a job with a name like this? Yes, i'm Sepheroth, how can i help you with your taxes today? or The Honerable Judge Sepheroth Jones presiding. This name sounds way cooler then anyone can actually live up to through-out their whole lives. "Uh-oh lil sepheroth needs his diaper changed..." These are things that should never be said.
 
Just don't name your child Kupo or Moogle and mebbe they'll be safe^^. Cute baby though.

No Jender, I'm assuming the gist of what he was saying was "might as well give him a girl's name" (he's a boy). I'm thinking the name Jennifer was arbitrary.

Quite. Sorry to any Jeniffers out there. Its a pretty girly name, so giving it to a boy would screw him up a lot. Like the song "A Boy Named Sue" by Johnny Cash.

Its not exactly the same as giving him a dual name like "Drew" or "Jamie" when you could say "Oh, guys have this name too." Jeniffer is definatly a girl's name, unless there is some poor bastard that had his parents give him the name of Jeniffer. In that case, I would just feel bad for the guy.
 
I will have a dog named Chewbacca some day, and he will ride in the front seat of my car. Every guy needs a co-pilot.
 
Name the kid Suzan, lets see where he gets then. =P

And I personally wouldn't care if I was named after a videogame character or something. There's a huge chance your first name is the same as a
-Video game character
-Murderer
-Drug dealer
-Rapist
-Porn Star
-Book character
-Mythical character

to begin with....and I'd rather be named something that's a blatent ripoff like Samus (bad example, but you know what I'm talking about =P), vs, say, being named after a F-!KING ROCK. ><
 
See now if they made Seph. his middle name, that would be a different story. That would be way cooler only cause you would normaly called by your first name by the general public(and therfore you wouldnt necessilary be made fun of just for your name), but those who know you would prolly call you Sephiroth or Seph, and it would end up being a nickname more then anything. A very VERY cool nickname.

But hey thats just my impression of how it might go down.
 
Video game names I'd like to actually USE with my future kids:

Cid (actually a normal name)
Tifa (I like that name, and isn't that strange)
Vincent (actually a normal name too)
Selphie (has a nice ring to it, kinda like Sophie)
Lulu (more of a nickname really, maybe short for Lucrecia ^^)

Video game names I'd like to use for my pets:

Cait sith (if I ever sink to getting a cat)
Nanaki (for a puppy)
Biggs (only paired with Wedge of course)
Wedge (only paired with Biggs of course)
Moomba (for a kitty)
 
yuffie is a cute name, but more of a pet dog.

My first born shall be named Kefka, regardless of gender, and they will like it ... or else!
 
I dunno. I kinda wish I had a more unique name. I will make damned sure that my kids have something a lil less common. Daniel is my name by the way...talk about boring eh?

Good point about living up to that name. I mean seriously, you could only be doing something amazingly badass with that name. Like a Secret Ops agent or something. Ninja even! Course they better send him to Ninja school now, because you have to start young.

I have considered changing my name a few times. My parents would kill me though. I almost think of myself as Faedryth sometimes though :shock: .

Cool names I hope to use one day for stuff...pets/kids/etc.

Rikkael - Stole it from Robert Jordan - Took Sammael and well...you can tell..
Kyomi - Met a girl whose name was this...love saying it!
Reis - From Legend of Legaia - such a pimp game

Course this all depends on your last name. I mean if that kid has a sweet ass last name that can pull it off, all right. But if his name is like cooper or something...anderson lol. Sepheroth Anderson? I mean its gotta be like Sephiroth Darkstorm...mmmmm...that kid would be god...

Aeris is a very pretty name for a girl, congratulations on the newborn. Probably one of the prettest yet unusal names out there for a video game character.

I think these would be cool yet wierd for a boy and girl:
Zidane and tifa, nothing too wierd but definitely more exciting than our boring old names. Although I like mine, Doug. Doo doo doo doo doo do doo doo do...The days of elementary school. The name has florished for me over time, like a fine wine.

Now pets is different, you can name them whatever the hell you want. I'd rather name a pet after ingame friends or friends from past video games though. Although I like to shorten the actual names to 3-5 letter words.

If I have a girl, I want to name her Aria - which is a name I got out of a rock musical that I did a little while ago.
