Info on the new 2hr Spirit Surge

Actually you can self skill chain with a little bit of skilled timing with a melee subjob.

The dragoon forum on killingifrit goes into detail on the technique, but basically it involves disengaging the mob before your wyvern uses tp and then SS (Spirit Surge) and WS for a second time, you don't need to re-engage to use WS so there's no time loss and the SC is completed.

As I said the Dragoon forum on killingifrit is the place for the info on this, but yes it's been totally verified with screenshots for proof, dragoons can now self skill chain in their two hour.
 
Seems like alot of trouble to go through for just a SC. lol
 
If you want to see yourself SC with yourself.....why dont you just sub /SAM?

/SAM meditate only gives you 60% TP. Not 100%.
 
weird. When i am disengaged and tried to use a weapon skill, the log says I must be in battle/engaged to use the weapon skill O_o

I'm with LadyKiki on this. Is that a DRG thing, or a Spirit Surge thing, or what? Doesn't matter what weapon I'm using (ranged included), I absolutely must be engaged to fire a WS. They're all greyed out otherwise.
 
Bad wording on Waylander's part. In the original thread, talks about having a macro, for, say, Penta thrust. You disengage, then hit the macro. The idea is to WS before the Wyvern AI triggers to engage.

Disengage, then
/attack
/wait 2
/ws "Penta Thrust" <t>
Then mash your Spirit Surge macro

The wyvern takes more than 2 seconds to engage, so you'll WS, and he'll just sit there, ready to absorb into Spirit Link.
 
So what level is Call Wyvern now? I didn't see it in the update details... still lv1?
 
yup, Call Wyvern is still Lv1, but can only be used if DRG is your main job not sub.

This works it charges your tp depending how much tp your wyvern has, now if only drg had a good 1 man SC with polearm. I got +14 STR and I noticed an att. bonus as well at lvl 68 drg

Spirit Surge lasts 30 seconds

I was mildly dissapointed, to learn it doesn't reset my jump timers. Eh I was hoping.

But I've discovered, if your in a Pickle, it's a damn good thing.

I was helping Ellion do SC's for his SPiral Hell points on Robber Crabs. And I used it.

My STR went from +7, to +20. my HP went from 1124 to 1338, and I absorbed the TP.

I hit jump, then high jump, absorbed the crab's TP, he got from us beating on him. And hit 280 TP in literally seconds. Threw out a Penta for like 796 DMG on /RDM.

I find it highly useful.
 
I love it. STR from fighting Diabolos went from +36 to +56, HP went up from 1300~ to 1500~+, TP absorbed, I believe ACC and ATT is boosted too, the jump bonuses, mmm mmm mmm mmm mmmmmmmmm. Lovin' it.
 
Im happy with it, can't wait to use in Sat Ballista royale match

I went from 1300 HP up to around 1600hp and + 29 STR to + 45 STR
 
On top of that, you wont have to be afraid of losing your wyvern as much now for Ballista. ^.^-b

GL in the match by the way. I'll be rooting for yall. Are you the only DRG on the team? If so, that will have to default you as being my fav ballistager royaler next to Cythe. XDDDD I gotta look at for my DRG peeps.
