Okay, so about a week ago a friend and I were talking about health care and he said two things to me that have had me thinking.
The first was that those with illnesses shouldn't live day to day in hopes of a cure and should just enjoy life. Keep themselves healthy on their own terms. It's nice to hope for something but that shouldn't take away from our enjoyment of life.
That has had me thinking about how many times I woke up and said to myself "I hope theres a cure for CF soon" and since he said that to me I haven't thought about a cure. I'm going to enjoy my life. Fuck em. lol
The second thing was that even if they make a cure for any illness the chances of them releasing it to the public is slim to none. There is more money in death then there is in saving lives.
That one has had me thinking a lot. Is the government so greedy that they would do that?
What do you guys think?
