Installing CoP on PS2

I've installed the game and registered, but whenever i click on play it says it needs to update, it starts checking the files and then around 35% of the way i get a pol error message saying the network is busy or i need to check my cables and connections. I even reinstalled it and tryed again, still no dice.
can anyone help me out?

I had a similar issue with a friends PS2. I don't remember how we fixed it exactally, but we did end up calling POL directly at (858)790-7529(Play). Beware, it is not toll-free, and they are based out of San Diego California!

Even after you install CoP from the disk there are still files that you need to download to update the game. I got CoP on the first day it was released. I had to download files even after i installed CoP. So just let the PS2 go thrue the whole process.
