Installing!

Most aren't from what I've heard Claud. However some are selling it now (though they shouldn't be) as the servers do go up tonight. Best ring to find out if anything.

I paid mine in full when I " Pre-Ordered" they let me pick it up a few hours ago. I guess it's up to whatever Corporate says or the district managers and how they relay that information to the employees. Sometimes places like Walmart override street dates. I know they did with WoW one year and it caused a big stink. multiple possibilities as to why some are and aren't.

damnit, I got the call, went to get it, then was told they delayed shipping to tomorrow...

psh that's a lie. That's GameStop code for, "we have it in the back, but can not legally sell it until after midnight tonight" I used it a few times back when I worked there ;)

Mine will be arriving from amazon tomorrow but I will be working some overtime. /sadpanda
 
I know I'm not the first. ; ; But I purchased the game about an hour ago and I'm installing now. There was a short maintenance but luckily it ended around the time I got home so I put down my payment and everything on the management site, now I just need to get in the game to make my ID to link to my FFXI account and make my char and play all day until the game crashes and SE will need yet another emergency maintenace :/ so much for those early days of playing.
 
Installing...Windows Service Pack 2 that takes an hour...my game is gathering dust on my desk.
 
Playing! A few notes:
1. Uninstall the beta first. Otherwise, the version update gets confused and won't download.
2. Best Buy sucks. They called me and told me to come pick up my copy, and then they didn't have it. GameStop at the mall came to the rescue.
3. Having the torrent won't help, since you need the registration code to create a character.
4. The registration part is a little confusing, so get it started while you are still downloading the updates.
5. If you did the Beta on Lindblum, and want to switch to Istory, be careful when it asks you if you want to transfer your name from the Beta, or else you may end up back on Lindblum.
6. They fixed the laggy mouse!

Currently downloading version update at 9.5% and it is currently at 0.0B/s download... Approximate time remaining: 4:15:32...
This sucks.
 
Installed, updated, and ingame, on Istroy. update wasn't that bad only took about an hour and a half for me(using FFXIV updater), load times seems way better, ui lag is way better,

I'm Psyched and ready to dive in head first, just so overwhelmed I don't know where to start. I love that feeling tho =P

But I'm on Istory and the names Thelona Eleadora, hit me up, when you guys get in.
