Kinda stumbled onto this by accident, but some weird shit went down on the AH on sunday. Items like Potent Belt and Woodsville's Axe were jacked up in price from 70kish to 330k by the same group of buyers and sellers.
Also, these same people "lowered" the price on Siren's Hair, Wind Torque, Chiv Chain, Elemental Torque, D Cloth and maybe some others. They were pretty good at switching up who was buying and selling and what the exact price was, but they all were either buying or selling the same group of items for the out of whack prices.
Without FFXIAH it would be impossible/difficult to catch this, but its quite obvious when you view these players on FFXIAH and look at extended price history. So yea...don't go selling your items from way below the standard price just because of the AH History in-game, I see a few legit players might have been caught up in it. No idea what their motive is for lowering some items, suppose there must be something.
Edit: Also looks like they are doing it on other servers. Asura and Bismark stick out to me atm. It seems more complex on Asura though, and incredibly confusing. You have them (obvious gil sellers from price history) buying and selling to eachother for 50k on potent belt, then the next day you have obvious gil sellers buying and selling to eachother for 330kish on potent belt. So what the fuck...the history on FFXIAH doesnt even go back far enough to really know what the price is/was on Asura for potent belt. Obviously this deals with many more items, but mostly similar ones to our server.
