Is it okay to MPK Gil-seller?

Well that's one LS I don't have any influence over. Hell, they've got Krono for god sakes. You snuck one by me old friend. Have fun in BoL talking with Krono about how much you love terrorists. {burn}

Oh I must have missed the memo about Firestreak saying who gets into what Linkshell. Please post the link to this Memo for me.

Intentionally killing characters is against the terms of use, and if you're thinking of killing players, chances are you're no Dr. King. If you want to say gil sellers aren't players, I can say windower users aren't either. This isn't civil disobedience for dummies. Leave them alone. Report them. Aggravating them does nothing but prove you and they operate on the same level while wasting your time and doing nothing to change the situation.

In a tunnel, they asked my thf/nin to cure them 5 times, and I finally started making fun of them for being utter failures. They trained me two scorpions. I killed one, zoned the other to them, and killed 4 of them in the process. Then I killed the scorpion, and got a chest key and a beast seal off it. Thanked them promptly for the key and the seal, and was on my way.

Two months later the're still there, and all it did was make me nervous the morning after.

So long as you're careful in determining whether a person is a gil seller, I don't think MPK'ing them is wrong. Ideally, SE would enforce the rules, but they don't. Vigilante justice is better than no justice at all. That said, you wouldn't want the hunting of gil sellers to turn into some new Red Scare, where everyone is a suspected gil seller, and mpk hoards roam vanadiel with their virtual torches and pitchforks, killing anyone who's sold more than a rarab tail on the AH.

How is MPKing them 'justice?' Taking it to extremes, both you and the gilseller get banned for ToS violations.

Except they had next to nothing invested into their character (and likely have dozens more waiting in the wings) and you lose all the work you've put into the game for a year+.

It's only justice if they give a shit, and they don't.

awww cubs you are ruining it.....I want to feel good when I MPK them. :( :(

Honestly, I don't like gilsellers either. But I'm not about to risk over a year of playtime so they can lose 2k XP to some random mob. It's not worth my time and it's not worth the risk. But to each their own, and if you wanna do it, godspeed.

Twille was right, it supply and demand. To me, the best way to get rid of all gilserllers in the server is that ppl should stop buy gil. GIslllers can't sell gil there no point for them to be in the game.
This is all i have to said to gilbuyers. You know there are alot of ways you can make gil in the game beside buy it with your real money. According to FFXI policy, you not play fair. You acutally hurtin other players in the game. You are the reasons why so many gilsellers existed in this game. The more gil you buy, the faster you will end up mess yourself up. Paying money for this game each month is enough, and spending extra money on gil is even worse. Eventually there is a point where you can't effort to buy any more gil and that is also the time you have to quit the game and lost everything.

Consider about! :(

although the grass may not be much greener on the other side....what if the gil buyers DID stop buying?
A. more crafting competetion
B. more farming competetion
C. less people to party with cause said people will be farming or earning gil the legit ways.
D. more NM competetion.

So its a double edge sword (I think thats the saying)

But i don't think ppl will camp nm or farming 24/7 like gilseller did. So it shouldn't hard as it use to be.

Also the price in AH will go down alot too, so everyone can get the gear they want. More competition, the price will go down.

OK, I have a question, I had recieved an invite to party with these gilsellers (I know they were because one them had revealed she was or he..) Anyways, i said no thanks and went on doing what i was doing. I left the area cause a few friends of mine wanted to try and camp argus. I receive a MT from one and it was completely freaking weird. She said something like this Bo men man man zhu...etc. WTF IS THAT!??? code?

No gil sellers mean stuff for cheap. When stuff for cheap everyone won't have to farm as much... and NPC money = Greater value.

You're arguing that it's better to have people running around with the best gear that didn't earn/work for it, rather than have a bit more competition? If you take out buyers, you take out sellers. If you take out sellers camping all the spawns, then thats all the more stuff the serious gamers get to camp and actually use their skill on.
I've seen enough high lvl's running around with the best gear that don't even know where a NM/HNM/god spawns let alone how to actually kill it.
