Is raising prices of items that bad !?

Well sellers own everything in this game pretty much. They monopolize it all and thats because of gil buying pimp wannabe noobs.

I dunno, is this Yoshindor, or his brother still? If its his brother, it's not similiar Dowzer, as he was given a free crafting account.

Hmmm, good point - however either one of them (or both) did take the time to have certain Rank requirements to make travelling easier. Also, the Yoshindor from the past was good with gil, so where did all the crafting money come from? IMO the financials are worth more than taking the time to get to 100. I powerlvled woodworking to 60 in less than a week.

I don't know who it is anymore either. ;-;

The difference is that even with powerlevelling, you understand how crafting works in the game, and (hopefully) that it's knowledge of how items are used, where ingredients come from, what to craft etc, etc, that will make you money...

What we have here is a kid who doesn't even play the game being give a character with high level crafting from his brother. He doesn't know how the game works, or understand the market at all, so he doesn't have a clue how to make money even with a 100 craft account. He'll make about 400k off the synth run IF he can sell 10 NQ Celata's and 5 times the going rate on the AH, but it should take him long enough to be a pain in the ass... Celata's aren't a high demand item.

Never mind, though, he'll be gone in a week....

How can you say this with such confidence.

You say I have no clue how the game works or how to make money.

Prove this!

Prove I was makeing money and not looseing money like I was.

Your all talk and no walk with big oppinions and no proof to back them up.

Hi all,

Once upon a time, back when I was just a poor Sandy boy tryin to make a buck, I used to mine the Grotto and log Ghelsba Outpost. I felt good about it, as I felt it was good income for my time at those levels.

Then one day, as I was dropping off my latest take of iron ore and various other ores and stacks of lumber, I see this roll across my chat window:

Yoshindor pokes Reauland
Yoshindor >> Hey

I reply with:

>> Yoshindor Hi there :)

And get:

Yoshindor >> Stop raising the price of iron ore

So then this conversation ensues:

Me: I'm not raising the price. I check the history and sell at the current rate.

(At the time, I should note, the AH price was a whopping 700 gil >.>)

Yoshindor: Stop camping the AH.

Me: Yah, I'm camping the AH. That's why I went to the trouble of grabbing this field gear, right?

Yoshindor: People like you are making it harder to level a craft.

Me: By selling for 7 gil more than the guild offers?

Yoshindor: So don't bitch when the prices on some things goes up.

Me: Never have, never will.

So in closing, I’d just like to say I don’t think what you’re doing is greedy. If the market will bear your price, fine. If not, then it will quite rightly fall back to a more accustomed price range - supply and demand, pure and simple.

But, if this is the same guy that was crying to a level 34 White Mage over the ridiculous price of iron ore, then this post marks you as one of the most unbelievable hypocrites it’s ever been my displeasure to run across.
