Earth staff for HNM/GOD only are you joking? Could of sworn I saw some of the best plds Tank with one pre levle 65.

As for Necro, Necroing is done when a Thread is months old hell maybe even weeks, buts days, come on now thats not a nacro thats just you being stupid.
 
If more PLDs used an Earth Staff I'd be a very happy SMN. Healing a PLDs using an Earth Staff is closer to healing a NIN, which is a good thing.

He deserves to have his nose rubbed in this again after he necroed...He fucking disappears for a week, and then back to the same old shit. Voila. WTF else can you say?

The fact is, for PLD, Earth Staff is a valuable staple starting at the level of 51. Fuck, I even had on as THF at 51. Why? It's a valuable piece for anyone to simply have...You know, just in case. Shit happens in this game and it's saved me before. As a PLD he should know that.
Also, A+ versus A- ain't a big deal. Plenty of jobs melee with A- skill just fine in XP...Even lower grades can still be effective depending on the situation. If you do your homework and cap your usable skills, that would make you better equipped to handle various situations.

Besides the staff, he was the one dragging the week old ( :omg: ) dirt back up....So where is your beef with him?

Its not just for gods/whatnot. Its for mobs that hit really hard, or when the paladin's damage means jack all.
Whenever i did dhalmels in Bibiki, after the first few times of the pld getting hit with berserk+stompling, they'd almost always pull one out. Because you dont dispell berserk. When your primary damage dealer is a ranger, the bonus damage from a sword aint nothin compared to my damage increase.

have it @51? no, not really. have it before 60? You damn well better. Dont have it by 70? Go find another job, gimp.

so make thier life easier and use the staff genious.
Also applies to a whm healing you. Less healing from them=more mp at end=better chance for chain. Once you got that going, your only limiter is your ability to kill things fast enough.

I got an Earth Staff along with my Dark Staff at 51. Wanna know why? So my already gimp staff skill didn't get that much farther behind. Tanking with an earth staff also helped against manticore, tigers, coeurls, and even when I tanked Ose at level 64. So yeah, a Paladin should get an earth staff as quickly as he can use it.

But you woudn't know anything about that anyway... would you Lavi? :ph34r:

Lol your PLD must have been gimp then. I have already exped through Dhalmels in Bibiki with not one freaking problem whatsoever. As long as it wasn't a pickup pt with a galka smn healer (don't ask.. /sigh) my parties went super smooth because I damn well know how to play my job & make it easy on my pt members. Personally, & once again I am saying personally (talking about me, 1 specific PLD), I do not see a personal need for the damn staff in my normal EXP parties. I do agree w/Lavi for what I may/will actually need the staff for.

Think about this, now that I'm a much higher level, going back & leveling staff will be more of a breeze then it would have been before.

The ony point that needs to be made is you just sought an Earth Staff, as PLD, post 70. We all know the game by now.
