We are also going to assume that to complete this quest, you need to find one lizard tail.

No doubt you all have more than one from hunting LL so its practically nothing.

The last thing we will assume is that these are Rare/Ex items and you can only have one or the other. (Like CoP rings.)

I know someone who refuses to uncurse Zenith Slacks because they look shitty with Noble's Tunic. As much as I want to backhand this person, it's only a 25mp boost (over Blessed Trousers) to get the Zenith so it's not a make/break piece. Now, if Zenith Slacks gave a 375mp boost, that's a whole different story. This person would be all over them like flies on shit.

We may as well include the example of a mnk weapon that has the same dmg/delay as Destroyers and occassionally attack 4-15 times. That would be roughly equivalent to your other examples.

It's understandable that you want to propose a theory, but those pieces are just... jesus.

This is a big thing especially with subligars, like the republic subligar (+5 ATK, +5 Ranged ATK) it is a great piece of melee gear and can last for a long time because there sometimes isn't much better than it, but people don't wear it because people poke fun at it. You'll get the last laugh when you outdamage all of your melee friends because you don't give a damn about fashion in a GAME.

But I agree... people who fuss over the "looks" as opposed to the stats of the gear they are wearing, well... that's one thing that differentiates an "average" player from a good one.

I wish I could put on my RDM AF hands and feet, but sadly those do nothing for me and so i'm stuck wearing my grey RSE lvl 60 hands and feet which look pretty funny... but i'd much rather go with INT and MP considering i'm an elvaan <_<

Lol no, I was saying that he wears the subligar, on his male elvaan subligar because he refuses to "gimp" his damage just for "looks". I agree with him too, I wouldn't want to wear slacks that give no advantage vs a subligar that has extra ATK, even if I was a male character. As annoying as it is to look at, I much prefer having gear that will actually make my "numbers" do more.

I think that people who are too concerned with how their character looks, or people that intentionally strip their mithra characters to drool over really need to find a different thing to play/admire.

Except, with my current money rut(and the fact that I'm not exactly playing atm) I'm usually stuck in AF in partys, with my staves, etc...

for loldrg to be slightly less lol we have to wear some of the most fuckin ugly crap there is. There's the subligar for 30 lvls. The spiked finger gauntlets. The shit colored jerkin. The shit colored jerkin WITH the spiked finger gauntlets. The beach shorts. I've little sympathy for people who bitch about gear not looking good. I wear orange leather over beach shorts, and i used to have scaled white gloves to go with before i upgraded. many people don't got nuthin' on that.

I wear Hunter (AF) pants on my Ranger cause they look cool and the +5 MND helps Holy bolts.

I've had that conversation in the dunes with some newb who was building a party. He told me some of the pieces I was wearing looked bad and I should take them off. When I explained that stats are more important than looks (and mentioned subligar), he said "I'll never wear a subligar!"

One nice thing about being a taru is being able to choose between Republic Subligar and Wonder Braccae. I usually go with the subligar and only regret it when I'm dead and my dumpy ass is pointed up in the air.

Every time I argue with peopl eabout it, they go "They look better", "Mahatma Slops are ugly!" etc. The most stupid argument I've heard is "Well, Jet Seraweels doesn't have any negative stats". Yeah. I'm sure those extra points of STR and DEX will make a melee BLM a whole lot more efficient against Tiamat, Fafnir etc. =/
