Ithenas, the Thief of Today

Firestreak said:
I reread the thread, you view changed and ultimately reached the point where you felt that the osode was wowzer's to do with as he pleased, and it was his call whether or not he gave it back. Overlaying it onto this situation, saying that it was ithenas's e-bow, but he should still give it back would be fitting for this case.

You have to follow the thread's conclusion.
The important thing was, Wowzer DID give the Osode.
But your view, after all the information presented and after Delite's statement, was that it was Wowzer's call, and that it was his osode to do with as he liked. This is very similar, someone gave away something that wasn't theirs to give is the whole arguement.

Firestreak said:
Stouter you got the first Osode in OH, and nobody flamed you or bitched at you for leaving with it, or said you didn't earn it. But for some reason you feel the need to salt the earth behind you, and every post you've made subsequent involving OH you automatically took the position that was against our majority opinion as an LS..
First, if you go back and look at those flames here's what you will and won't see:

-You won't see me saying Dua had any right to take the SH, or was in any way justified.
-You will coming in to correct something that was stated about me in the flame, and in a drunken rampage join in on a side flame against a few people that are in OH.
-You won't see me flame OH as a whole, ever.
-You will see my opinion, which falls on Delite's side, in the osode flame. You weren't around for the early days of OH, and you really can't understand how big of a role Delite played in getting the shell off the ground.
-In the BoL kirin flame, you will see me state what the issue was that BoL was pissed about, as told to me by a friend and ls-mate. The flame had turned into a BoL is pissed about OH stealing kirin, which nobody from BoL claimed, which was not the case, either in it being stolen or BoL being angry about OH killing it.

The only flame that I joined the side that was against the majority of OH members was the osode flame.

Stop focusing on the people who are commenting on it, unobjectively. Focus on your friend Ithenas and answer the questions about his character in this ordeal.
My opinions on the matter:

-Jonas is an asshole, I'm sorry to see him return to the game. He's been on my blacklist for more than a year, and I was a little pissed to return to the game and find him in OH, and finding myself taking him off my blacklist due to the nature of the shell.
-Ithenas should give the bow back to Jonas.
-If it was anyone that wasn't a total asshole, I would tell Ithenas he should give it back. But since it's Jonas, I won't tell him that, because I honestly don't care if that elitist prick gets it back or not.

Because Ithenas is keeping it. If I give you something that isn't mine, it doesn't make it yours. If I take my neighbor's dog that i'm dogsitting for them, and give it to somebody else, that person doesn't now own the dog.

Yes, and if your neighbor gives you their dog, and you let a friend watch it while you are moving to a different place that allows pets, your friend should return it to you when you get moved in, even if his boss tells him not to. I'm not arguing your reasoning in this case, but the osode case. You claimed that it was the friends dog now, and he could give it back if he wanted to, or keep it. About this case:

I said:
-Crap about Jonas being an ass.
-Ithenas should give the bow back to Jonas.
-More crap about Jonas being an ass.

Kirkeek I never said you are a gil buyer, I was talking about Meeze. And Uzor I didnt say that I would keep anything that isnt mine. Cause fact is, I never would. I don't do that its just not my thing. I don't mind being poor in a game its not gonna make me a bad person IRL. Sometimes I ran out of bolts for XP oh well what can ya do.

Oh, and Kat, no offense but I could care less what you think. I mean seriously if Meeze does really have all that money to spend on PSL's and all those vacations. I would think he would be a complete idiot NOT to buy gil when for a few hundred bucks he could have about 10million. I mean it seems it takes him less time IRL to earn money that it would take him to earn gil in game. I'm not saying anyone who buys gil is a bad person. I just think Meeze is a dick for not admitting it and thinking that he is cool cause he says he doesn't.

Believe what you want but anyone who is Rich IRL and actually waste game hours farming or crafting or Bc'ing is a complete idiot in my book. It just doesnt make good sense to spend time away from family for something you could very easily obtain in seconds with a CC.

oh and Kat no-one cares if you act all holier-than-thou just stop it its really annoying. I mean Dres did what he thinks is right just because you don't agree with it doesnt make him a bad person somehow. Jesus christ act your age and stop thinking its either Kats way or the wrong way.

Family and friends...rich or poor...work or not..maybe he doesn't buy gil because it'd kindof ruin the quality of fun-ness for him? Just because someone has money/a good family IRL doesn't mean they should buy gil, which would probably ruin their sense of self-accomplishment. I have friends and work and all that crap, but I'm not gonna buy a game and pop in a Codebreaker just to make it all easier so I can spend more time with them vs doing something in that game that might, daresay, be fun.

(Then again, that's just me. Not everyone finds stuff like crafting/farming/randomly killing stuff fun)

Well lets just say that Meeze actually earned all his gil in game. As much as he has or has had I would say it would take months to legitmatly earn it and that time span would increase every time he plays the game. Now if he really has that kinda money IRL (remember he retired early/young) I would think him a complete idiot to waste months of his retired RL on a game earning fake money that will get him no where in the long run. Like I said gil buyers are'nt bad people just people who want more RL time than IG time, and they still wanna enjoy the game when they do play it. So i'm saying Meeze is a gil buyer/liar or either a complete fuggin idiot.

All games, not just online ones, get you nowhere in the long run. But it doesn't mean you should cheat on em just to get em over with, since that obviously shoots the fun (unless, somethings going on that you don't find fun) - cause isn't having fun basically what games are all about?

And personally, if I had all the time in the world to spend with friends/family, I wouldn't...because if you spend it all with them, it loses it's value over time, and you (god forbid), may get sick of eachother's company. But everyone's limits/wants/hopes are different, so yeh. It's up to you if you think he's dumb for what he does, but I personally don't see anything wrong. I mean, if I had kids and was retired, I'd need something to do while they're at school at stuff, so why not, y'know?

Anyways, too much thinking..think I'm done for now. :?

 I'm just gonna laugh at this whole paragraph. You're a dumb shit and pretty much everyone has said so at one time or another in the various flames against you during your FFXI career.

Btw, didn't you quit playing, Konartist? Soooo that would make you what? Answer: another troll haunting qcdn who doesn't have a clue ...

As far as Dres goes, I never said he was a bad person. Reread what I wrote  .

Mish hit the nail on the head. Meeze isn't an idiot at all. I have the means that I could buy gil if I desired to, but I don't. Not because of morals or gilseller ethics, but because my opinion is that the real idiocy would be to pay someone to play the game for you, and that is what I essentially view gilbuying as.

As Mish very aptly stated, there is a sense of accomplishment gained with every completed goal. I have spent probably well over half of my play time getting to 100 wordworking. I was extremely happy and filled with joy when that text scrolled by that said "Alanon's Woodworking Skill Reaches 100!". Sure, I coulda bought some gil, PL'd to 100 in a month, but then that moment of joy would have been replaced with "well thank god that's over!".

Again, I look foward to accomplishing things, be it saving for eq, CoP missions, or crafting. That's what I consider to be "playing the game".

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that things didn't calm down after i went to bed at page 4 last night.

i wouldn't say by quitting, you meant that her account is deleted. her mule pops into my LS every now and then. maybe {Taking a break.} {Long time}

/sigh... I was reluctent to post on this because ith has been a friend of mine sense I dunno, Jonas has been a friend of mine sense he was... .wel aparently lvl70 cause he's never been lower.
anyway, all joking aside, this sucks ith, I was hoping you woulda came to your senses and just gave it back, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen, here you're doing this over a 10mil? item, I got offered 50mil for Jonas' Osode and I didn't sell it, told the guy [No, thanks]. and jonas before he left told me it was my osode, I never considered it was mine, shit I've never even killed Kirin.
Thing of my rambeling is this: it sucks you had to do that ith, I lost all respect I've had with you. and about Jonas bein an asshole to you, shit... do you know jonas? he may lack tack*rhymes teehee* he may come off as arrogent (which he is) but that's just jonas, he may be a lot of things, but the highest out of them all is honesty that I can say for him, I used to say it for you.
Also, don't mind replying that you don't care, I just want to show you that you've lost yet someone else that thought you were "friend"
*also about jonas having a 100 clothcrafter, jonas doesn't like crafting, and I don't htink he ever has. he doesn't use that for his gil, he really should just give her to me to craft XD
And if you wanna flame me for misspells make a new thread, I don't want that asshole jonas to get a 50pager.

WTF unp. you don't have time to be typing...get ur azz back to crafting and make us some gilz!....lol.

Konartist if you don't have a moral problem with gil buying why do you insult people for it? It sounds to me like you're just jealous cause you can't afford to.

And to Stouter: Like I said, I was told there was a deal worked out between Delite and Prophecy over possession of the Osode involving in a cursed togi being given to Delite. I'm sure that there were probably several different things said in terms of possession of the Osode by different people concerned at different times. The context was of course... they were all LS members and at the time Ithenas was too low level for the Osode and Delite wasn't going to be using the Osode. If Ithenas had remained in OH he'd probably have just gotten his own as his RNG neared 75 and had Delite or Wowzer would have gotten a new Osode upon Delite returning to the game. during the course of the flame, Ithenas as well never told Delite he'd left the LS. It became a very complicated and murky subject. If, for example, Delite had came in and said "I'm coming back to FF, I'll take my Osode back, do you seriously think anyone was going to hold it from him?

So it's more like... If me and you get a dog together, then I give you the dog. You tell me I can watch the dog while you look for a new apartment, and then Bill who's a dog lover could take it and we agree it'd be best with him. Then Bill's friend Fred gives you a mouse so you have a pet as long as Fred can decide what to do with the dog. We all assume everyone's going to get a dog eventually so nobody complains to many different deals sprouting up. Finally at one point there's a fight over the dog. Uh, complicated.

This on the other hand is very straight forward. Jonas bought the bow with his own gil. It was always Jonas' and never Atfgame's. Jonas wants the bow back. It doesn't matter if Jonas is the nicest guy in the world or the biggest dick in the world. I may think my neighbor is a dick but it doesn't mean I can just go into his house and take his shit.
It's my own personal view that Jonas like many OH members act like a dick just to be funny. Like me and my friends insult each other, it doesn't mean we're serious. On the other side of it Jonas is very moral. He wasn't even present in the Osode conflict but I can give you an example on the way he thinks.

Antura and Kaius are real life friends. They camped with OH and got a Enhancing Sword off of bune at one point. While still in the process of selilng the sword, Kaius and Greco camp Astral Earring. Kaius takes the earring to keep instead of selling it and splitting.
It was decided that Greco would get Kaius' share of Bune drop. But that was only half of the Astral earring. And several people said, "well Antura is Kaius' friend. Take Antura's split too.

The two are real life friends, have access to each other's characters, ext. But Jonas wouldn't budge on the issue it's wrong to take Antura's gil, even if Antura could easily log on Kaius and get compensation from him. I disagreed with it but I respected that Jonas didn't see relatively with morals. If nothing else, character like that should be looked at when decided "who is it right to steal from?" as opposed to someone having a abusive sense of humor.

lol, so either i have not enough time to play and bought gil, or too much time and i'm an idiot for not buying gil?

by your theory, everyone in this game buys gil. except for you of course, by your same theory, since you can't afford enough ammo for your xp pts, you obviously can't afford to feed your kids. i think i'll call the social welfare office and have them removed from your piece of shit trailer.

howcome you quit? did visa finally get sick of you never paying your bill and cut your scrub ass off?

btw, i'll let you actually smoke the camel instead of just getting contact, can i bust in your face for that? at least give you a pearl necklace?

Actually Fire (and others) imo a better example would be:

There are 3 co-workers. One of the co-workers gets along with the other two, whereas the two do not get a long at all. Well Co-Worker A (Jonas) has a lap-top. He decides he'd rather use on a normal PC, so he lets Co-Worker B (Atfgame) borrow his laptop. Some time goes by, and Co-Worker B decides to get a different job. So he let's Co-Worker C borrow Co-Worker A's lap-top cuz Co-Worker A is still content using the normal PC. Well more time passes and Co-Worker A decides they like the lap-top better and would like it back. Co-Worker C refuses to give it back "because they think he's a dick".

PS. For those that can't figure it out: Co-Worker C = Ithenas.

Well technically, I believe the story goes from what I've read is: said laptop was given to Co-Worker B, but Co-Worker B only let Co-Worker C borrow said laptop.

Ok then what does Co-Worker B(Atf) have to say about this? And yes I didnt feel like reading 14 pgs, so if he posted just direct me to it or something >.>
