Hii everyone. I maight not be very popular here and you might not care what I have to say but I for one grew up with Ithenas in my younger years. Occasionally I see her around and wave but thats what we have grown in to these days - distant friends. Not that I have anything bad to say against her or anything. As far as my memory serves, she was a great player and was fun company.
This, however, is shocking. I am a bit drunk as I just got in from a night out and maintenance is on the blow. This isn't the Ithenas I remember, from the sounds of it she has has bad stuff happen to her in the past just like everyone has had over time. I personally think from an "out of box" perspective, the how thing is wrong Ithenas so please forgive me. You're a good person, please don't ruin my memory of you. You might not care, but there are those that do care. After all, it is a game, not life. Its not REALLY going to affect you as a person if you give the thing up just to let it lay and the rewards, as far as I am concerned, being the respect of other players is far better than a virtual item.
I understand if you have bad things happen to you in the past, but don't take the "bad guy" position just because it happened to you. It reminds me of the bullied victim at primary school turning into a murderous killer in later years. You're a good player, you're better than this. Even if I might not know you as much these days, I would not like to see you and think badly of you when I do.
I write this post because I myself have "lent" out my E-bow and am now frightened beyond anything about losing it. I did think I would be leaving because I didn't have much time to play because of my new born baby, but now I am back (part-time) and have stopped playing Ranger so I don't have any need for the bow, I would have sold it. But someone was in need of it and I don't mind lending it out in good faith.
Correct me if I am wrong because, I am a bit drunk ^^ but... If the bow was lent or given to you or whatever word you wish to use in good faith, from another person it was lent to, I think the original owner still has priority if he/she so wishes it back, regardless of your situation (which could be negotiated maybe).
I think that it doesn't help that people "flame" and bitch about it. It doesn't resolve anything. I've never liked this forum.
In Ithenas's defence, from what I have read, the guy left right? In some peoples' eyes - tough shit! But, the fact does remain, that he is back, and is asking for his item back - it is bad I know but, it is only a game.
I say this because, I left (for a short while) and kind of left my things for a special person to distribute or do with as she wished. Now I am back, and may not need the item, I WILL want it back eventually. Now, I am worried that the person, "won't give a shit", after I spent five months saving up for that bow, it would really break my heart. Okay, its just a game, but I did earn it buy spending the time to earn it and thats what counts to me.
The owner said he could get anotherone easily anyway and thats cool if he can do so but from a morality point of view, I hate to see this ruin the respect and trust for Ithenas just because everyone threw flames at her. I think both parties are right, but at the same time, they are both wrong. Fighting on a forum won't do anything but aid to ruin peoples reputation and fuel more anger toward everyone (even new people you will meet), which is why I quit posting here in the first place.
I think it would be mighty good if Ithenas darling, just gave up the item and left it be ^^ And everone else, including Ithenas stopped being aggressive - its a game.
