They have done some... backhanded things with travel, lol.

On the surface, not much has changed.

Get past the surface, and the travel options were expanded enormously with Voidwatch, one of the new endgame activities. Basically one of the VW NPCs can warp you to any zone where a VW battle takes place; this means that as you progress in VW, you gain the ability to warp to all kinds of places; just outside the starter cities, Ifrit's Cauldron, Sky, Bibiki Bay, etc.
 
You can warp to the starter city bibiki and caudron tho lol. Oh isaw you on my mule :P

I did shout a bit in Jeuno about EU shells; the only real answer I got back was about a shell called WeHateFail, which apparently runs in UK time but I never got a definitive answer on that one. I looked 'em up on FFXIAH, they seem pretty serious. D:

Wasn't there a plugin for the map that made it better? hmm I recall having one up while I ran around in 2006. Wonder if it's still supported.

So what are some good ways to make gil again? I need to get my gear back for my RDM :P she has some, but not enough.

Also any tips on leveling better? I know 1-30 there are those Fields of Valor, but is it better to start new ones when you over level one or stay with old ones and kill faster? hmm

The method is 1-10~12 then gusgen mines till 30 then abyssea to 99.
 
I have to still do Abyssea missions I think. And figure out where to go :P I just played around in Dunes and then Bubumiru or whatever and then qufim and hit 30 with my DRG :P figure I'll switch to my RDM and finally level her, but I dunno enough about Abyssea leveling yet with her.
 
Just go to jaokam[sp?] and start the quest for stones.
 
already have :P I'm just running around since I read if you visit each maw it gives you the ability to warp there at some point.
 
Right once the quest is active and you have 1 stone but remember leaving with 5min or less locks you out for 1hr.
 
ah, well these mission maws were ok accepting me :P one in Batallia Downs.

Which reminds me, can you do all the nation's quests and get all the rewards per WoG mission?
 
Batt downs is not a abyssea area >.> and WotG i think so when you pass the mission. Not sure if you got to switch nations or not.
