I've been in fantastic parties that netted me more experience in one night than I've dreamed of, that took about half an hour to fully form. If the party needs a few minutes to find that ever-elusive sixth member, then it is very unreasonable to not give it to them. In the end, if I've got time to wait around with seek on, I can certainly afford a few minutes for the party to do what they need to in order to set everything up well.versiontwo said:lol obviously you guys forget what experience party means.
Not all of us can fuck around for 30 minutes before we actually go out to exp.
It's not the same situation. Not even close. I can agree with you that one of the biggest, nastiest problems attitudes among the NA player-base is their willingness to try partying with only an hour or two to play, but this has absolutely NOTHING to do with party set-up time.versiontwo said:This is why "JP PT Onry" in JP /sea comment.
because of these fucktards that take so god damn long to exp and then disband in 1 hour..
If anything else, Japanese parties patiently take more time to make sure everything is in order, or to make sure they have the right mix of jobs and levels, before venturing out. Once again, you've drawn a direct line between a proverbial apple and orange.
The comment you just made lead me to believe that we were in agreement on this point, but apparently not. You have your strange, harsh, little quirky opinion. Here's mine: if you're at a point in your life where you've got only three hours a night to play, and given that parties can take a good while to set up ... well, it might not be too unreasonable to consider whether or not you should be looking for a party at all. That is to say, at least not outside of a static that understands your position. Two hours is what I consider to be the MINIMUM I'd be willing to set up a party for, and that's from first mob to last mob. If your time is excessively limitted at the moment, then you need to take up beastmaster, do some crafting or farming, or anything you want ... just don't inflict your fleeting membership on other people in your party. Come back to party-play when you have the freedom to give your group members a levelling session longer than 45 minutes. If you can't see yourself ever having that much free time, then an MMORPG isn't for you. This is very much a geeky loser's hobby.versiontwo said:Maybe he can only play 3 hours a day and wants to make the best of it.
"Dicking around" is the leader sitting on his ass, chatting up the party, and not really bothering to look very hard for other members, decide where to go, or whatever a party needs in order to get moving.versiontwo said:You guys have time to dick around when you want to exp? go ahead.
dont get mad if someone else doesn't.
The waiting time inherent in actually DOING those things cannot be described as "dicking around."
