I'm trying not to sway to either side. The guys at Penny Aracade made a valid point Thompson gains power through the attention people give him http://www.penny-arcade.com/2006/08/11. I also know from my expierences at gamepolitics.com that he will do anything for attention even if you ignor him. For those of you unfamiliar with the whole gamepolitics situation, Thompson would spam the site with his rantings and would make new screen names even after he was banned (yes, it was the real jack and not some poser).

honestly, the part about the "bully" game showing a kid having his head put into a toilet and punched and whatnot is nothing new. im not young, however, im not old either. going through middle school and highschool as a freshman, "swirlies" were not uncommon to hear of. and that was well before nintendo and violent games came out. for someone to blame violence on a video game is assinine. the true problem comes down to the parents of the children that play video games.

I think our society is redrawing the lines of sane and insane which include the appropriate and the inappropriate.

Anyone with a whim of history knows that these lines are constantly re drawn over the ages.

Video games could be a factor but hell there are bigger problems for us to deal with that influence these kind of things.

Trippy we both know that the gangs of nashiville(yes we have small ones lol) don't come from playing GTA, it comes from a lack of attention and as a result they get it. Our city has been having gang uprising increase for the past 20 years(acc. to the tennesean).

I'm really dissapointed in Adam. You could tell that he just wanted to run Jack into the groud but was so eager to do so that he was unproffesional and studdered and made some poor statements.

Whoever that was in the middle did a better job of any kind of "pwning" than Adam did.
