Very, very, very wrong. I've seen kids being unable to purchase an M rated game because they are underaged, or they don't have an ID to show that they are at least 17 years old.
Hell, I've even seen an instance where the clerk explained to a woman what kind of content was in a game (I think it was Manhunt) because she had a child with him.
Saying they don't give a shit? You're speaking out of your ass.
Even when i speak out of my ass, out comes good shit.
I acknowledge there are places that actually do follow the rating system when it comes to who they sell the game to.
National Institute of Media and Family said:
The two-month undercover survey, which covered 60 US retailers, found that underage teens were able to buy games rated M for Mature (17+) at 46 percent of stores, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.
The NIMF and East County Youth Coalition, which aided the NIMF in conducting the survey, are now calling for stricter adherence to retailer rating guidelines, the implementation of formal training for retailers, and the physical separation of M-rated titles from other games.

I don't accuse all places or all parents when i say these things really do go on. Most of the planet is comprised of decent people in my opinion, still there are the few who we need to clean up after, and in this case sacrificing an addiction is being put under the looking glass. Again this is not a battle Jack can win, nor do i support baning the very best of digital entertainment.

Jesus. Rockstar is the direct source of children playing their games? I don't see Terry Donovan walking down streets handing copies of GTA 4 to infants.
That's what this whole issue regarding Jack Thompson is all about. Again Jack cannot challenge an ocean of parents, nor can he do anything about employees who don't care who they sell the game too. Rockstar is the only route he can take to tackle this subject, and that is exactly what he (key word) "tried" to do. I've said this a few times already.

I'm done with you, Anttaru. It's apparent you're pretty fucking delusional as to what Jack Thompson does.
You couldn't outline what I think Jack Thompson does. You'd be revealing to "yourself" your many contradictions.
All this because you can't openly discuss reasoning towards the actions of other people. I can see why Jack attacked Rockstar, and I know he tries to tackle all kinds of explicit material. Video games really are twisted, any ass would agree. I outlined what type of person Jack is, and I disagree with his ambition. Despite all i have said, you somehow tell yourself I'm sticking up for the guy.
What motivates you to bash my point of view is the fact I served you a dose of your own treatment. I can clearly see that some of what you say is good, but all this: "Anttaru is defending Jack, and he's delusional, I'll rate him down for returning the treatment i gave him and others in the past, plus I'll call him delusional and even taunt his beliefs, even though I have no answers to these mysteries I know fuck all about"... That shit is nothing but "HOT AIR" driven by your temper.
