Not to be confused with 'The Last Airbender'. I just saw the trailer for this and I have to say, it looks like it could be a potentially awesome movie to watch.

I've never heard of it before today. So I don't know if it's from a book or just the mind of one really creative individual. Also the video game that will follow the movie actually looks pretty cool too.

Trailer. Only HD one I could find.

First James Cameron movie other than "Piranas 2" to not have Bill Paxton in it. I was really excited about the movie but the way he is trying to do hyper realistic CG doesn't really interest me, but that's less because of him and more because every time a movie has used CG after the first Jurassic Park has just been terrible.

Watched the trailer and was unimpressed. I think from just those 2 minutes I could pretty lay out the entire plot of the movie and be 90% accurate.

I think it looks like a good time! :) I want to see this one for sure!

The more I see the trailer, which has been around a few weeks now, the less interested I am. Plus when you're selling it as "From the director of Titanic...which I translate as "From the director of the most overrated piece of shit this side of a Michael Bay project"...all you're doing is making me throw my middle finger in the air and contemplate torching the theater Inglourious Basterds-style.

Yes, it was the biggest film of all time...but I really don't see that general audience coming out for this one.

Aw man, I feel dumb.
The first time I saw this preview, it was over halfway done (I only just got into the theater) and didn't even notice the entire thing was cg! I was thinking, "Wow, how corny to have the alien looking things -that- retardedly fake cg looking compared to live-action stuff!"

But..I see I was wrong. Look at all that cg! The alien things still look retardedly fake to me, though :<

True. "From the director of Aliens and Terminator 2" is the only thing i would really jump at. If they said "From the director of Predator 2" i would just laugh.

From the Director of the highest grossing film of all time, Aquaman! Cameron rules and this movie will too.

I like the direction this film is taking technology wise. It could be a step forward with special effects, especially during fight scenes to make them feel as realistic as possible.

lets just say HYPOTHETICALLY one wanted to bone the hell out of that avatar chic(the one played by Zoe Saldana i believe.), does this make that person a furry?

Hypothetically speaking ofcourse,

about someone who's most definitely not me. >_>

Wait you..er this person wanna bone the actress or the actual alien in the movie?

You're weird. Sounds like bestiality to me :|

The trailer was pretty underwhelming. I honestly don't have much interest in the final product.

After reading the plot outline, I think Disney already made this movie and called it Pocahantes.....

Yarp. Totally does. I think fchan has some threads on it already anyways.

I'm kinda psyched about this movie :) looks cool

I've seen the commercials all claiming this movie will "revolutionize modern films" or some such nonsense but I don't see anything that special. There's nothing here that hasn't been seen in the Prequel Trilogy, or even Jurassic Park. And that was in what, '93?

Oh, and THEORETICALLY, certain individuals, among whom I am definitely not one, might agree with Thelona's hypothetical person's inclination.
